Looks somewhat similar to MAC9 DS
RedditDallas@reddit
Are these reliable?
onyourleftbro@reddit
I have the gen 1 of this and it was pretty reliable out of the box.
I would recommend swapping out the grip module for a Prodigy one. You can call Springfield and they'll sell you everything you need for less than $100.

This looks to be some gen 1 mac 9 tisas switched the grip frames on to not be associated with mac anymore.its a sorta one off model but nothing is wrong with it.the mac gen 1 has been great for me even with me changing the recoil spring and adding a frame compensator

This is a different color of the standard B9R DS they’ve been making for a while. I have a 5” black version. Heavily oversprung from factory for +p loads, which is easily fixed. Grip isn’t great but it shoots so softly it’s not the end of the world, I used grip tape until I upgraded the grip. Optic cut is RMSc only so any large window optics are tough to mount. Overall they’re good just needs a $20 set of springs that are trivial to swap if you won’t be shooting hot defense rounds. Mine was 100% reliable until I started fucking with it and most of the failures I’ve induced post-fuckery have been magazine related (3d printed extensions and followers) or shooter related (I fucking suck at shooting and often limp wrist it).
StylesBitchley@reddit
It should be pretty hard to limp wrist a large frame metal 9mm. But if running on the edge it make sense, but I would never trust a gun that relies on a perfect two hand grip for defense. Something I always test when validating for that role and adjust accordingly.

You underestimate my incompetence lol. Lowering the spring rate actually improves ejection you just don’t wanna lower it too much and beat the slide to death. Stock was 16lbs, bumped down to 12lbs and it was nearly perfect. But now I’ve added a fat fucking pig of a dot (cyelee bull) and I’ve had a couple ejection issues that coincided with fumbling/bad grip and bad reloads. Gonna bump down to a 10 whenever I get around to it and see how it feels then. It works fine even one handed if you have a slightly competent grip.
RedditDallas@reddit
They look neat. Would you trust your life with it?
Embarrassed-Lie2272@reddit
I owned one of these and honestly no. They were 90% reliable and if you have a 2011 itch that can be scratched with something this affordable they’re a great deal. But 90% isn’t good enough for me to trust
don2171@reddit
Provided it's being maintained regularly yea. It's probably the best chance I've got at accurate pistol shooting. 1911 triggers so far have been the only ones that feel like my shots go exactly where I aim so Im just not that good at pistol shooting. The difference in ergonomics definitely helps and I can shoot other stuff better than previously but this is still by far my best shooting

Cool, Thanks. I actually just got a Tisas 10mm 1911 Nightstalker with the comp, and I was interested in the compact 9mm. Never shot a Tisas 1911. I was unsure about their reliabilty
don2171@reddit
Getting a frame comp or the already comped models has to be in the 1% of shooting 9mm pistols. You probably have to go 2k plus to get a comped gun shooting better than one of these could with one
NewCommunication1306@reddit
They’re hot and ready
don2171@reddit
A bastardized mac 9 to a sort of 1.5 gen instead of gen 2
StylesBitchley@reddit
Wonder if they were using up old components? Pretty good deal though either way. Wonder when we will see the Gen 2 guns?
HauntedHotsauce@reddit
While running rmsc, I think that's the biggest drawback with tisas 2011's for me.
don2171@reddit
That's rmr plate for this gun.theres some viable large window rmscs out as well if that's what your looking for
Tries_2_hard@reddit
The 5th pic on the PSA listing shows the optic cut show compatibility with Delta Point Pro, Holosun 507C, RMR cut, Vortex Viper -- so I don't think this one is RMSc and is Noblex/RMR
there_is-no-spoon@reddit
Huh. What would I be missing on this vs a gen 2? It has the bull barrel, which i wanted. I might have to get this. I am planning to get a tisas double stack 9mm when there's a deal on the gen 2 but maybe this is the play. I plan to switch out the springs and sear.
luvmehatemefme@reddit
Ive got the Tisas DS9C Gen 1 no bull barrel. I did a compact prodigy grip, swapped springs, tuned the extractor and mine is the best shooting gun I own. Im not sure what gen this one is.
NothingButACasual@reddit
It seems to be a gen 1 frame based on the rail slots, but according to the last photo it has a bull barrel and an optic plate system instead of rmsc direct mount. So it sounds like a new unique slide or maybe a Mac slide.
