What anti-AI folks miss is that regardless of whether "good guys" use AI, "bad guys" have it, and you cannot stop them.

Some technologies are pandoras boxes - they impose costs to society the moment they are invented and spread. You pay these costs regardless of whether you want to exploit the benefits, so you might as well, otherwise you only lose with no gain.
