I wonder if there's any hanky-panky going on.

Somewhere in a movie studio warehouse is a rack of 60 yo Telex tape drives. Shove em against a wall and you have a computer room sceen. Even though there's not a single computer in the room. BTW, I used to work on this crap in the 80's

All those whirling parts, with many of the people in charge wearing dangly clothing. Never mind the stacks of paper with all the code. Brilliant characterization of the pompotus of love.

Now, you pose one-handed typing on two terminals at once, while you pretend to mount a tape one-handed without looking. Good thing none of this stuff is _on_.

I working in a large stuffed computer room for a few years. Didn't have those nice auto-loader tape drives. Gave up the mainframe life and went to DEC gear. Never looked back.

Those 3278 and 3279 terminals could quite literally stop a bullet! Hell, even the keyboard could likely stop a .45 or 9 mm from a handgun! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Love the look of that 3279

At a place I worked in the mid to late '80s, the managers all got 3279s while we mere mortals had to live with 3278s ๐Ÿ˜‚

Is that chair at the terminal for children or is it adjusted weird?

The chair at the terminals looks bizarre by today's standards. Minimal back support unless you're in grade school.
