[Rifle] Ruger Harrier (Magpul Furniture) - $540 + S/H ($25)

Personally I think this is a great deal, the only problem I have is that I’ve never heard of or purchased from this website. Kind of wanna run this by the community here and see if you guys have had any experience with this website here. I’ve been eyeing on the Harrier since they came out.
Not sure if there’ll be some more discounts during the Fourth of July sale or not, especially with this year being 250 anniversary and all.
But this is legit the lowest price point I’ve seen for this AR with the magpul furniture model.
Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

Over 2k rounds with my Ruger 10.5. They make a great product.

I like him in blade runner

Isn't this just a poverty pony with a Ruger name? The consensus will be: get an Andro Corp.
Strange_Tamers69@reddit
The big positive the Ruger has is the FCG is immaculate. The 452 stages at 1.5lbs and pulls at 3lbs. IMO its the best budget trigger on the market. Im also a big fan of the Ruger A1 style grip on these. Then to push it over the top, Ruger manufactures their own barrels for these, and thats a name I trust with accuracy. I think they even have a sub MOA guarantee. So as a guy who has a dozen or more anderson lowers, this would be an auto upgrade over those.
CrankBot@reddit
This model doesn't have the CHF barrel that the old MPR had though, does it?
rodaphilia@reddit
No one knows what barrel this rifle has - Ruger hasn't given any info about the barrel.
Sumiwave@reddit
This is old and untrue, from some video posted when they were first released. The information is easily available. Please stop spreading it.
rodaphilia@reddit
Can you share a link to where the specs of the barrel material/construction are posted? Ruger's product page for this rifle still does not say anything about the material/construction: https://ruger.com/products/harrier/specSheets/28600.html
Just states the length, contour, and twist rate.
Sumiwave@reddit
I saw a few posts from users that had reached out to Ruger directly and gotten the answer. And the YT video that had the most views for that question had tons of comments saying the info was published now. And now that I'm searching again Gemini says that it is cold hammer forged, and chat GPT is saying there's no confirmation.
So it seems in the past month it's gotten muddier than it was before, which is pretty sketchy, and could be easily resolved by putting information on the product pages as you mentioned. So I retract my statement because it seems less clear than it was a month ago. I'm going to do more digging.
rodaphilia@reddit
Ya I saw Gemini claiming its CHF, however the source it linked for that statement (this article) didn't say anything about that.
Sumiwave@reddit
Yeah exactly, all the links it provides say nothing about it now. Maybe they never did, but that would be strange. I'm wondering if the pages were edited later and Gemini hasn't caught up. It's all shady, and I'm going to edit my initial response because the bottom line is it's not clear, and that's on Ruger and we should assume the worse. Thank you for correcting me.
There are a bunch of comments on this video talking about it, and it seems most are saying it's not CHF. https://youtu.be/tE57L4fka-Q?si=GNkua1dg-pVKKTlr
QuasisteIlar@reddit
It does not. This is a replacement for the Ruger 556 -- NOT the MPR
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I have found nothing that indicate this or any Harrier currently released includes Ruger's "Elite 452" trigger. Ruger claimed they may eventually release a model that is similar to the discontinued AR-556 MPR that did include the 452 trigger. That trigger in my friend's MPR feels as good or better than my LaRue triggers but the one in my MPR required polishing of the seer surfaces to get it to feel okay and I am not sure it feels as good as my LaRue triggers. It did not feel much better than a Mil-spec trigger when I received it.
Strange_Tamers69@reddit
Damn, thats news to me. I bought my 452 seperate and its in an anderson with my accuracy upper for dogs. Its all I could ever want out of a hunting trigger thats why I hype em so much. It was dirt cheap too, like $65 with a trigger housing included. That housing has come in handy big time with tuning SS to a milspec.
CordlessOrange@reddit
I have the Ruger Harrier - can confirm it does not have any special trigger. Mil-spec for sure.

New copypasta to replace MPR?
Strange_Tamers69@reddit
I do not understand. MPR?
BestMillimeter18@reddit
Copypasta for the old Ruger MPR rifle:
Compared to other entry-level ARs on the market, you're still coming out way ahead here with all the upgrades this thing is packing. In fact, this is more a mid-tier piece at an entry-level price. 18'' cold hammer-forged barrel w/5R rifling: $200
Ruger’s Elite 452 two-stage trigger: $140
Low-profile gas block : $10
15-inch free-float handguard: $70
Magpul MOE SL stock: $50
Magpul MOE grip: $15 About $500 in upgrades over standard entry-level.
You will be collecting parts for a year at dirt-bottom prices trying to build & beat this package. Pricing under $800 makes this a great deal and $700 is the closest we've been to the all-time low in many months.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
The old "copypasta" left off -$10 to replace the radial brake on the MPR or the A1 flash hider on the non-MPR AR-556 model with an A2 flash hider and crush washers. I don't recall anyone saying they liked the radial brake. Many replaced it with an A2 to reduce the concussion to the shooter and others or replaced it with a more effective brake. I think Ruger used both muzzle devices on the discontinued AR-556 models so they did not have to spend money buying an installing a crush washer.
The Harrier as of yet do not include the Ruger "Elite 452" trigger. My 452 was not elite as it required polishing of the seer surfaces to make it feel much better than a Mil-spec trigger.
Strange_Tamers69@reddit
Yeah, see... this fuckin guy knows. They are legit rifles, no hate warranted. Thats funny, good call out.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Not that I found nothing to indicate this or any current Harrier includes the Ruger "Elite 452" trigger. Ruger themselves said they may eventually release a model similar to the discontinued MPR model that had included that upgraded trigger.
onlybanana@reddit
Is the 452 not another rebranded schmid?
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
While my friend's 452 felt as good or slight better than my LaRue triggers the 452 I received in my Ruger AR-556 MPR did not. I had to polish the seer surfaces to get rid of some resistance. The castle nut came loose on mine in less than 200 rounds. The barrel extension was slight clocked so I sent it back. Ruger had to replace the barrel and receiver. They likely over torqued the barrel nut damaging both the barrel alignment pin and the receiver when it was first assembled. The upper and lower and good, tight, rattle free fit when new but the replacement received rattled on the original lower so I had to install shims on the pivot pin and inside near the other pin to tighten it up.
CastleLurkenstein@reddit
It's clearly a rebranding that's trying to capitalize on the popularity of Rutger Hauer (RIP), because I cannot make my brain not read "Rutger Hauer" every time I see "Ruger Harrier."

Piverty Pony is lost....like tears...in rain...
CastleLurkenstein@reddit
Disappointed I can only upvote this once.
Also that people seem to have no appreciation for absurd humor.
Rjsmith5@reddit
Adding Ruger’s QC and warranty is a big plus. I haven’t handled a Harrier, but I’m guessing those two factors making it a little better than the Anderson.
CordlessOrange@reddit
Yes, I have one and I like it a lot. 0 complaints about fit, finish, or function. The upper has the Anderson marking on it still, which is kinda funny. But it’s a great rifle, an I’m a fan of Ruger so it was an easy choice for me.
RyyZYT@reddit
Vendor is Amazing. Good shipping times and CS team.
DocHolliday3884@reddit
They are gtg i got my RCR from them.
redacted_robot@reddit
NJG is GTG
They have some great pricing too.
clickersforeal@reddit
Picked up my dead air wolfman from them for $630. They are awesome
kayl_breinhar@reddit
Honestly, the new Sig M400 Forge might be double the price, but for a starter AR for a new owner, a pre-zeroed optic out of the box with a match trigger would be way more newbie-friendly.
mathmanhale@reddit
Is this the same thing as the MPR?
Mahlegos@reddit
No, it’s a replacement for the AR556 made at the old Anderson plant
Few-Resist-4113@reddit
Is this the VTOL version?
NothingButACasual@reddit
Nah, needs a ramp
Arctic_Scrap@reddit
Damn I just paid full price for one of these a week ago because I was worried about the Minnesota ban getting passed(it didn’t but this is the closest it ever came)
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
A friend that lives near Not Just Guns has purchased several firearms, a suppressor, and other items from their store. Another person also recommended them for suppressors after his in person experience buying from their store in MI. They have been a number of posting for them here on Gundeals. The only issue I saw was a number of suppressors sold out quickly after posting here.
EnvironmentalClue362@reddit
NJG is solid. I’ve bought quite a few cans from them.
Typical-Redditor-18E@reddit
I got this one from LGS for $525 a few months ago. Decent poverty pickup.
CallsignFlorida@reddit
NotJustGuns is legit. Bought numerous suppressors from them. Buy with confidence.
