Quick question: Best way to secure a 12v fridge on a budget? (No slide-out)

Hey guys, just picked up a BougeRV 12v fridge. Love it, but I don’t want to drop $300+ on a dedicated slide-out right now.
What’s everyone using to keep theirs secure in the back? Standard ratchet straps feel like overkill/bulky, but maybe I'm overthinking it. Looking for clean, cheap DIY ideas. Thanks!

Did a plywood base with cam straps on handles for years on my Engel.

Place it so it’s more or less held in place by other things and call it good. I’m not doing any hardcore off-roading so that’s fine for me and allows me to access the fridge without unstrapping it etc.

I have mine in the back seat and it doesn’t move unless I’m doing some crazy bumpy stuff. Then I add a strap or two.

Ratchet straps or the straps that bit down when you pull one way.

Cam buckle straps is what you want.

Ratchet straps or the straps that bit down when you pull one way. Also, probably not overkill. If you run into something and come to a dead stop, you don’t want a 20kg box coming for the back of your head

I use a ratchet strap through the handles on mine.

Ratchet Straps or Bungee Cords. I had some stainless D-Rings and ⅜"-½" self tapping stainless screws laying around from another project I attached to the plastic outside to clamp to which work great

You didn’t say what model fridge or what vehicle. Pull straps through the handles to d rings is a pretty standard method

D rings

Mine is just shoved in between the front passenger seat and the rear floorwell. I then move the seat back so it holds it nicely. Free and I’ve never had it move while bouncing around.
You can see it in this photo. It’s one of the cheap 12v EUHOMY cooler/fridges.

Small but rated ratchet straps would be my choice, in a crash or just bumping over rough ground stuff is gonna try to move around. Decent 250kg rated straps aren't expensive.

I guess it depends entirely on how it's placed and accessed in your setup. Mine is just in the place of the backseats on a platform with 3D printed slots holding it in, where it's just accessed from the side window. Before that I just glued D-ring hook points to the sides to strap it down

On top of a tote with a ratchet strap over it.
