You date a partner specifically to discover those hidden traits. Not being able to properly test them during this period, and ending up having to raise a child alone, means you're a failure in selecting partners, period

Sticking with a partner for the children's sake, taking responsibility, trying to make the relationship work, are actually good traits. Still far from being perfect, since you should be able not to have a child if that's not what you want, but it's still better than being an immature prick that runs away because "she's better alone anyway"

You're a bad partner if you stick with that kind of woman because you enable their bad behaviour (being irresponsible/reckless/superficial, even when dealing with life-altering issues) and you're someone that's fine with degrading themselves becoming the second choice/problem fixer

Yes, there are few, very few cases where the single mother is not at fault (widows, for example) but those are still a second and inferior choice compared to a whole world of women that don't carry such heavy baggage; if you truly are a worthy man and a provider you should form your own family and raise your own child, not another man's one
