It's a joke. Jeremy didn't actually crash this one but previously as part of a fund raising effort for the Chipping Norton Lido. Which lost its government grant in 2004. He did drive an elderly Rolls Royce into it.

The regular members of this sub. Realise that it's a joke.
Most of the subs dedicated to TV shows particularly those that are off air. Routinely take current events and stitch them into the show's format. /r/FatherTed and /r/TheThickOfIt for instance are full of it as there's only so many discussions that you can have about a show that had 25 episodes, ended 28 years ago, the lead character died not long after filming wrapped and the shows creator is cancelled. So you inject new material into it.
