Ram speed difference question - 6400/CL32 vs 6000/CL30 for AMD

Hello everyone,

Best Buy is currently running a sale for CORSAIR - VENGEANCE RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6400MHz 32-40-40-104 UDIMM Desktop Memory for $650 vs 6000mhz/CL30 for 1100+
This is the cheapest I have seen RAM since the increase. I am planning a build with a Ryzen 9 9950X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. I know 6400/CL32 is not ideal, but how great a performance decrease would this typically cause, or if this were your build, would not just save for the 6000mhz/CL30. Thanks

You may have to slow it down to 6000, but then again jayz2cents is running 8000 on his home pc. Everyone says am5 can’t handle faster memory but he seems to have figured it out.

You literally won’t notice a difference. It’s like 5-7 fps difference
