Safe areas? Early 20s moving to north Fort Worth(Justin)

I got a really good job in Justin/northlake however I know nothing about the area but the opportunity was too good to pass up. The area looks safe online and when I visited for interviews
\-however im looking for a safe clean place to live for apartments. I just need something big enough for my dog and cat.
I don’t need anything super fancy- I’m really concerned about is safety and parking spots that are easily accessible with a big long bed truck. (Budgeted for $1600-1700 a month rent)
Are there any good recommendations? Are there any places to avoid?
The biggest thing for me is I do bodybuilding. I’ve seen there are some lifetime gyms in trophy club and near Keller and a golds gym in flower mound-however I was wondering if there any other good bodybuilding gyms in the area? I’ve tried looking online but it’s really hard to tell the culture of some gyms. I’m going to go visit this weekend to try out some recommendations.

Currently live in keller and I’ve been apartment shopping so I’ve got some good insight.
Anything on the north side of I-820 is going to be safe and minimal amount of crime.
Keller specifically is a going to be your idea are especially with where you work.
I’ve lived here for 8 years, it’s a quiet town for enough away from all of the highways that there’s very little transient activity. Lots of great parks and trails and some good restaurants but very little to do beyond that. I always say EVERYTHING is 40 minutes away if you live in keller. There is a good sense of community. If I wasn’t changing careers and taking a major pay cut I’d probably stay here.
Apartments to look in keller
Olympus town center, Waterford, and stone glen (town center is my favorite
Arthouse- lived there for 5 years. It’s older so not as updated and the ac units suck (because they’re old) plus you’re stuck with tri-county for electricity so electricity can be high. But it’s a wonderful location! Changed companies since I’ve left but I have a friend that been in the same apartment for 15 years and she loves it.
The lyric- I currently live here and I’m not the biggest fan. I think a lot of it is on the property management company Greystar. When I was looking for a new place I specifically left out Greystar properties, do a quick good for how many lawsuits they’ve lost/are in.
Beyond that if you want to be closer to work (closer to the highways which COULD be a little less safe) look closer to Texas Motor Speedway or further east on SH-114
I had a friend that works at lifetime in Westlake, it’s the top tier model lifetime offers. More expensive than the one in alliance off I-35 and Westlake also usually has a waitlist.
I have a membership at the alliance location and it will be hard to go back to a regular gym.
Alliance doesn’t have a a cold plunge and can be a little overcrowded during peak hours but still worth it.
Sorry that’s a lot, feel free to ask any question.

No definitely not too much all was so helpful! I haven’t even thought of looking in Keller because I wasn’t quite sure how traffic would be, I don’t mind a smaller community feel as well. And omg I didn’t know lifetimes could have a waitlist😳😳😳😳 and the Info on the lyric is very helpful because I was thinking about checking it out but now maybe not sooo much!

From the safety aspect Keller should be on the top of your list IMO. Like I said it can get boring but quiet is nice and if I want to go do something I’d rather drive or uber. If I was staying in keller it would be Olympus town center or arthouse for an apartment. I did forget to mention there are some.. apartments I guess over by the high school that are affordable, not as nice as the other but I almost lived there.
Do you currently have a lifetime membership?

I’ll definitely check those apartments out and hopefully see if the commute is doable. I don’t have a current lifetime membership but I had one only about a year ago😭

There’s no bad areas in north Fort Worth really. Grapevine might be your best bet and it’s not central to dfw with more going on since you’re in your early 20s.

Thank you so much! That’s definitely very reassuring I haven’t even thought to look in Keller!!!
