Great shame in my government that created these monsters and keep supporting them. The army used to stop them but that also changed in the last 2 years. Hopefully next election on October, and a new government will actually do something against them.
AwkwardTal@reddit
The abuse/psychopathy is systemic, scapegoating it on the government holds no water.
xSypRo@reddit
The current government were the ones who gave the settlers guns, they’re the ones who installed the new Palestine only death penalty, they’re the ones who changed the army orders on how to handle these settlers.
The opposition vowed to change all of the above if they’re elected. The opposition leaders such as Yair Golan, Gilad Kariv and even Naftaly Bennet often share these attacks videos on social media to criticize them and the government for causing it. They try to use their influence to do something about it now but the system here is fucked up and the truth is they cannot do much from the opposition.
eggplantpot@reddit
You're not gonna sane-wash the absolute horrors that have happened for over 50 years broski. This level of indoctrination and derrangement is not happening overnight.

>The opposition vowed to change all of the above if they’re elected.
When? Where?
BroMan001@reddit
All of your “country” was stolen the same way Gaza, the West Bank, and southern Lebanon are currently being stolen
SpontaneousFlame@reddit
lol. And what about IDF violence? The border police snuff out families when they feel like it, IDF snipers used children and journalists for target practice before October 7 and the IDF have been documented raping and murdering Palestinian civilians since the early 2000s and probably before. But for you doing damage control “it’s just this current government and the settlers.”
bearkin1@reddit
(Settler violence has been systemic and supported by the IDF since the 2000s)[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_settler_violence], not "the last 2 years" like you said. You have been tricked by your own country's propaganda.

Key-Half1655@reddit
Unfortunately that election isn't happening, just like a certain trial
Stubbs94@reddit
The army never stopped the settler violence. They literally helped arm them and protect them. That's not even taking into account the extreme violence the IOF engaged in before the Al Aqsa Flood in the occupied territories.
pinpoint14@reddit
At a certain point you have to wonder if these settlers are capable of coexisting with anyone.
What kind of person clubs a dog, or throws bricks at a cat?
When they're done here am i supposed believe that theyll out their weapons down and live peacefully?
Because i dont. And thats why they all need to be stopped.
kaptainkooleio@reddit
The point you’ve made is probably why Israel wants all thesesettlements in the West Bank, to keep all the weirdos, and pedophiles out of the mainland.

One person did two things. Lets not extrapolate a single person's actions to a whole group.
TheLantean@reddit
We judge a society by how they treat their outliers.
If this person got charged for animal cruelty, then yeah, the group doesn't accept this and takes steps to curb it.
Conversely if nothing happened, even in such a publicized case, the group tolerates this and possibly even accepts it.
So which is it, let us know.
NearABE@reddit
All nations have psychopaths who victimize others. Only few leave the victim with no legal recourse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocide_Convention. “Inflicting mental harm” is in article 2 b. “Inflicting conditions on the group to bring about its destruction” is in article 2c.
We do not want social media to become the judge and jury. Instead we should just insist that such things are required. The Israeli State should be given the opportunity to defend its reputation by offering evidence that it does prosecute Israeli psychopaths.
SpontaneousFlame@reddit
“It’s just an isolated incident.”
Of course there are the assaults, rapes, livestock killing, torture and theft, property destruction, arson, murder…
“It’s just hundreds of thousands of isolated incidents that don’t in any way constitute a pattern.”
ChipsTheKiwi@reddit
You'd have a point if Israeli's didn't take part in massive protests specifically for a soldiers """right""" to rape Palestinian hostages
Champagne_of_piss@reddit
That shit is so surreal. Just disgusting.
Zellgun@reddit
Lmao, goes to show that no one should listen to this person since they couldn’t even get the facts straight which just requires opening the article and reading the first paragraph.
It was two different people. Both are Israeli citizens engaging in terrorism on what is internationally recognized as occupied territory where Israeli citizens build illegal settlements (under intl law) and engage in ethnic cleansing.
We should not extrapolate into a whole group? Depends, which group are you talking about? Because if the group we’re talking about are Israeli settlers in the West Bank, then yes.
Yes. We can definitely extrapolate these TWO people’s actions to the whole group.
axeteam@reddit
When's the last time you see "settler" violence being properly prosecuted by Israel? If it isn't being prosecuted, then it is in more ways than one encouraging it to happen, and that is definitely a "group action".
PartySr@reddit
One person? The Israeli are terrorizing/attacking the Palestinians multiple times a day, and they are not punished. In fact, the terrorist state would rather arrest the victims than their own.
Since 2020, no Israeli was prosecuted for their actions against the Palestinians. Killing, raping, stealing their homes, burning their homes. It's a fair game for the Israeli, but the Palestinians are punished just for exising.
pinpoint14@reddit
I think your point would be a fair one if there wasn't an entire society behind him that guaranteed him immunity.
PurpleMclaren@reddit
The reason they do these things is to piss off Palestinians enough where they answer back with violence so that the IDF then has "justification" to go bulldozer entire neighborhoods.
4g-identity@reddit
Yep. Anybody who has had an older or younger sibling knows this dynamic. You literally see settlers with their high powered rifles walking up and doing WWE-style "press my forehead against yours and yell" stuff.
Try to make someone throw a punch so you can use your weapon.
It's absolutely pathetic though, because (a) the other side isn't allowed weapons and (b) the entire legal system and military is on their side in the first place, so they don't even need these pretexts.
Reminder: six years and over 1100 West Bank Palestinians killed by Israelis without a single sentence handed down. Literally hundreds of dead children, with many acts on camera or the perp known to authorities. Even at the height of apartheid South Africa, they'd occasionally punish a white person for a murder for appearances. It is absolute insanity, crazier than you can ever imagine.
EternalAngst23@reddit
While I’m not normally one to judge others based on their physical appearance, Israeli settlers always look like they’re missing half their brain.

The dog and cat were Hamas members
