Looking to upgrade my cpu and motherboard, and came across this deal on micro center. Just wanted to know if it’s worth it or not. Thank you!

Microcenter deals are always pretty good., but what are you upgrading from

I have a gigabyte Z170X Gaming GT motherboard and an intel 6700k

Had to double check. Your motherboard uses ddr4 ram. If You are upgrading to the microcenter, you will need new ram too. That bundle uses ddr5 ram.

Ahh gotcha, thank you so much for your help! I’m a complete noob at this stuff
How about this one? Comes with the ram as well.

Still good. The CPU is more mid tier compared to the 7800x3d and the 9800x3d. It should run most games well that are not CPU heavy. By cpu heavy, i meant games that require to render alot of entities, huge worlds, or has alot of players.
Games such as simulation games like flight simulator, civilization 6, rimworld, etc. Alot of MMO's too.
PSA. Im not saying that the CPU will not work for these types of games, im just saying that it wont perform as good as the other 2

Ok cool, right now I’m only really playing League of Legends, but I have a lot of games in mind I wanna play so I wanna make sure I get a good enough one for those. Thanks again!
