I've got 2 months off work, $1,700 and free standby flights anywhere American Airlines flies in the world.

I'm a landscaper and it's the slow season so I'm taking 2 months off work and I'm fortunate enough to have a dad that works for American airlines so i get free flight benefits till I'm 25 (currently 23), do any of you more experienced shoe string travelers have any suggestions? I would already be in Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam if i could, but AA doesn't really fly close to that part of the world. I've looked into some cheaper South American countries, but I'm pretty indecisive and don't have much knowledge about world travel in general. Any tips or suggestions would be awesome!

A few things to note:
Typical child dependents lose there benefits on their 24th birthday, not 25th
Even though AA doesn’t fly everywhere you can also fly on ZED tickets booked through the id90 portal in the travel planner. ZED tickets allow you to fly on partner airlines for approximately 90% off as a standby.
I have been to Argentina and Chile and they have been both relatively inexpensive. In December I went to Cape Town SA, and found things to be very inexpensive. Also look at Bali/South East Asia, topicals very cheap.
If flying to Asia I recommend through Hong Kong (AA193 or AA125) and then Cathy Pacific as they are great to Nonrev on.
If you wanna dm with any specific questions feel free to.
Happy Travels!
Edit: it’s been awhile since I have been to Buenos Aires, and it may be more expensive now.
Update: it appears American has temporarily canceled service to HKG/PVG/PEK. I believe at this moment they will still be servicing ICN/HND/NRT.

Let’s be clear, the virus is only slightly more lethal than a normal flu, and so far less than 200 people have died. I wouldn’t worry.
