Arc B580 vs RTX 5060

I need to upgrade my 1070. Its really at the end of its life after 9 years and is starting to struggle with newer games at low settings. I tried using gpu comparison sites but so many are so shit and I don't know which to use. My budget is under €400.
A lot of websites say the 5060 is better but other sources say its a lie and the arc is better. Help 😞 If there's others you recommend, please let me know and why! Thanks guys
PC specs:
- i5 12600k
- 32RAM
- Z690 Phantom Gaming 4

Can you buy 9060xt 16gb?

I can, is it that much better for the slightly higher price?

It will be better for newer games, 8gb vram is not enough if you play 1440 AAA high fidelity settings, in fps terms it will be slightly better than 5060 (10+ percents) B580 is ok but seems Intel gpus are the afterthought for game devs, see crimson desert, or forza horizon 6 issues on Intel gpus

yes

If you play at 1080p then rtx 5060. If you play at 1440p then arc b580.

I think this is the answer. RTX 5060 is a good 1080p card and you have the advantage of better software support for upscaling and ray tracing. Drivers will be better on day 1 for new release games. However due to the limited VRAM it’s not an attractive choice for 1440p. The B580 has tradeoffs but it will provide a consistent 1440p experience at medium or better settings.

1440p! Thx for the tip

Do you mainly play newer or older games?
Professional_Monk631@reddit (OP)
Both, so also newer games

If you can swing a tiny bit more, this would be a much better pick than either of those:

Thx for the tip :) I might go for this one

hardware wise, B580 is better, but software wise, RTX 5060 is better supported.

I would get the newer and faster RTX5060. I would also check the prices of the RX9060XT 16gb in your area.
