What DFW areas are similar to Edmond?

My spouse and I are wanting to “move back” to DFW. It’s been 10 years so we know a lot has changed. We live in Edmond, OK with our 2 small children. We love Edmond and all it has to offer (cute downtown, community events, etc.). We will also want to send kids to private school/where my spouse can work. Where can we get a similar setting in Dallas or Fort Worth?

Grew up in Edmond and live in Dallas. I don’t think there’s an exact match. Not sure what side of Dallas you want but maybe Heath is similar in vibe an is near Rockwall which has several private schools. In north Dallas Greenhill is an excellent private school in Addison. St. Marks and Hockaday have great reputations too.

Agree with McKinney except for the private school part. There are private schools in the suburbs but they are more religious than some you might find in Dallas proper. If that’s your jam then you’re set.
