looks like the interior of a chinese car

Love how every company under the sun is doing this spartan-minimalist interior /s

It’s way cheaper and people view it as futuristic - win win for them which is why it was adopted so quickly
WATTHEBALL@reddit
"People" are mouthbreathers. Hurr Hurr look mah! This ve-hickle has a TV just like the one in our living room! The future is here!
Every single new car, whether it's from Hyundai or Ferrari has the same bland and simultaneously gaudy tacked on screen interior. Zero personality, zero originality and not even logically integrated. It's just "cheap" and people think it's futuristic. lol ah good ol lemmings.
Popular_Broccoli133@reddit
Except the Model 3 and Y, the cars that pioneered this look that everyone is replicating. Best in the industry infotainment and integration. But agree on the sentiment. It’s the car designers that are lemmings.
KentuckyFriedChingon@reddit
The current-gen facelifted Tucson has a wrap-around infotainment system that flows nicely with the gauge cluster and is angled slightly toward the driver in a "cockpit" layout.
It's a pretty nice place to be for an econobox.

Yup, can’t wait for the pendulum to swing back. Think the mid 2010s-early 2020s really had the best car interiors, all the bells and whistles you could want while not just being a 15 inch screen slapped onto your dash
UmaThurmish@reddit
in my opinion best car interiors are early 2000s german cars.

Both my E-Class and GR are perfect for the intended purpose. Wouldn’t change a thing on either now that my E-class has CarPlay.

Is this a valid site?

That steering wheel is definitely not elegant.

BULBOUS and VOLUPTUOUS
Apical-Meristem@reddit
That’s awesome!

this seems to be where cars' manufacurers are heading. bug screens makes cars cheaper, and saves the headache of many buttons and wirings. but sadly it changing cars into smartphones.
Sexy_Simone@reddit
Can we stop the trend of turn signals on the bottom of the bumper ?
zabakaeru@reddit
The big-ass screen aside, I'm kinda concerned with the shifter placement. It looks like where the wiper/washer stalk is located but I don't see that stalk
mechabeast@reddit
This doesn't look right. Theres no screen for the driver and that big screen looks like its halfway over the passenger seat
Hnry_Dvd_Thr_Awy@reddit
I need them to hurry up and replace the entire windshield with a screen. I am exhausted being blinded by LED headlights and the morning sun.
narwhal_breeder@reddit
I feel like I am crazy - I have seen so many people complain about LED headlights but they have genuinely never bothered me on other cars and they are awesome to have on your own.
Do the people complaining about them just have a crazy astigmatism that flash bangs them every time they pass an Audi at night in the oncoming lane?
Hnry_Dvd_Thr_Awy@reddit
It depends on many factors including but not limited to 1) When you drive 2) What you drive 3) the duration you drive 4) what the people around you drive 5) your tolerance to bright lights and probably a dozen other things.
quantum-quetzal@reddit
Terrain and road condition can also make big differences. I live somewhere with big hills and rough roads, so even properly-aimed headlights still end up shining in your eyes very frequently.
NagisatheGod@reddit
I've seen some that appear better than other but overall they're annoyingly bright. I don't think its a case of astigmatism, the color is harsher than halogen lights and because they get much more brighter they're blinding, especially with high beams on which somehow people don't know that they have them on.

Touchscreens living long enough to see themselves become the HERO!
Least_Confidence_225@reddit
The shift to giant screens is mostly about cost savings. Physical buttons require molds, wiring, testing. Hyundai spending the extra money to keep them is actually worth respecting.
hi_im_bored13@reddit
I don't mind even if they went solely with the touchscreen just because i have some trust in hyundai to get close-ish to the fluidity of Tesla's infotainment vs most traditional automakers
