Finding a Battery

I’m finding it hard too get a 52v 20ah battery with at least 40a bms within the budget of €300
I believe that budget is reasonable so I don’t know why it’s so hard too get one . Everything’s out of stock or has a low bms that I can’t pair with my 2000w motor.
Any suggestions? Living in Ireland 🇮🇪

I paid about double that for a 52V 18Ah pack with 30Q cells six years ago. You will not get a reputable battery in that size for that price.

Ended up buying a 31.5 ah triangle battery from champrider aliexpress for 340 euro

Seems foolish. Best of luck.

Had lots of good reviews so I’ll see. Keep in mind a lot has changed in 6 years in terms of increasing the capacity too mass produce expensive items. Especially in the Chinese markets

So what type of cells and BMS does it have?
CreamTechnical4780@reddit (OP)
Li-ion 21700 cells and 50a bms which I will only need around 40 so I’m in a safe zone

But what kind of 21700 cells? Recycled from the emergency lights after a building demolition?

Not sure this is my first encounter with battery’s and building a bike so my knowledge is shallow enough.

And that's why a cheap battery isn't really cheap, or safe. Mine has cost me <$100/year of ownership, still charges to 58V, and I confidently store and charge it in my home.

A completely DIY setup - without a case, just cells, bus bars, and a BMS - meeting those specs starts around $220. Add a case, charger, and assembly, and you're easily at $350, just to start out.
