Decarbing in the oven is not "noob behavior", some of us aren't crazy about vaping and strictly prefer edibles only or edibles and joints. Not decarbing at all or adding the flower ground directly to edibles is noob behavior.

I prefer to use my low grade hash from making bubble hash to make edibles. First I will decarb in the oven for 25 mins at 250 F, then I either infuse it into high quality Irish butter or coconut oil, then put it through a fine strainer before adding it to whatever recipe.

This is the way you get the best tasting edibles with good potency. It adds a nice hash taste to whatever you are making but it isn't overpowering as far as taste goes and you get good potency if you do it right, albeit a lot of work.

The way OP did it doesn't taste all that great, but it is quick and does the job.
