Anyone here own a Priority Current?

About to pull the trigger on one through Costco Next. Curious what current owners think of the bike.

I’ve put 3000 miles on mine in a little over a year with no real issues. I have the 5-speed Shimano, it’s a good fit for me and the hilly area I live in. I set to 20mph to save battery and pedal more (and because I sometimes ride with a friend on a speed-governed Rad). Ergonomics for me are really good; I swap between the Current and a mountain bike without any issue.
Battery can be difficult to remove as another poster mentioned, but there’s a plate that can be replaced to improve that. Priority have told me they’ll pay for me to bring to my LBS, I just haven’t made the time. Customer service is fantastic, they really make things easy by sending small parts when needed.
I think it’s a great bike, no regrets. I did add a suspension stem and seatpost a few hundred miles in because a lot of my roads and trails are pretty torn up.

Thanks! Shimano version arrived today. Having my LBS assemble it tomorrow. Can’t wait!

How’s your Current holding up? I have 650 miles on mine and I’m only getting 15 miles per charge if I leave it on level 5 assist.
I feel like maybe it used to have more power too, but I’m not sure if I’m misremembering. Does yours still feel like it’s as powerful as the day you got it?

Sorry you’re having trouble. My experience has been great. BUT, I have an Aventon that I paid half the price for that has 5400 hundred miles on it. With one battery replacement

I've had a Current for a few months I use for commuting and here is what I've noticed:
Overall I love it and am finding it a perfectly cromulent car replacement. Once I get the touch points fully dialed in it will be the bee's knees.

I clocked over 1300 miles on mine and am very happy. I bought a 2nd charger I keep at work so I always have enough charge for my commute (15 miles each way with several hills). I’ve had several interactions with Priority’s support, that have been first class and helpful. I am contemplating buying a second (regular) bike from them to replace an old Novarra.

It’s holding up great, but I almost never use level 5. My work commute is mostly level 1, with one exception to get around a work area via a steep hill where I use level 3. Typically I complete my 30 mile commute with 1-3 bars left.

Cool, I appreciate the update

I've ridden mine just over 1100 miles since last July and I love it.
Only maintenance I've needed in that time was a loose rear hub bearing around 800-900 miles. I'm assuming it was due to some rough riding on ice and snow.
I ride just over 10 miles a day on max assist with the 28mph limit and I charge everyday. Battery performance is notably worse in the cold but I also ride a bit slower so it shakes out fine in the end.
I tried to put on 27.5x2.1 studded tires on and was eventually successful. However, the fenders don't leave much room so I had to cut them and make some adjustments, mostly for the rear fender light cable.
I have the 5 speed Shimano hub and enjoy it. Usually exclusively use 3-5 while assisted (even pumping up hills in 5th with max assist just because downshifting under load is a pain). But all gears have use especially on less motor assist.
Only other issue I had is if you put a front rack on with any weight it won't stand well on its own. I basically exclusively use a rear rack.
I have no regrets with my purchase and priority has been a pleasure to work with. I'm planning on buying either their Apollo or 600 this summer.
Oh! One last pain is I've just now started having some difficulty removing the battery. It's just stiff and at an awkward angle. When I get it I keep jamming my fingers against the fork.

What’s the max speed with a reasonable pedaling cadence?
fckinsurance@reddit
I've never used a cadence sensor so all I have to go on is guessing with a metronome.
Max assist on flat ground I'll probably be around 115-125 rpm to get to 28mph. That same cadence will get closer to 25 mph under 30°F.
A more comfortable or relaxed cadence, I'm guessing around 80-90 will get me around 20 mph under 30°F. I can't remember exactly how fast that was a couple months ago but I want to say closer to 25 mph and I had to work significantly harder for the extra 3mph.
My current is carrying anywhere from 180-200 pounds.
