Of course they did. They were leaving way too much money on the table by getting rid of the manual.
Guys are paying big money to continue driving a manual in the used market. I think most manufacturers will offer a manual car to tap into that

It amazes me that Ferrari hasn’t joined in.
They could charge whatever they want for a manual and the billionaires would buy out the entire run before the first car was produced.

Because they don't need to, they already own a money printing machine, and their game is doing just enough to keep it running at full speed.

Since when has a company of that size decided "oh you know what, we make enough money, we don't need any more!" Shareholders will always want more, and companies are incentivized to always make more. Ferrari stock has fallen roughly 200 EUR since the peak last year (480 to 280). Coming out with an extremely desirable old school Ferrari that can sell for literally any price will both create profit and would be a great halo car/marketing tool for their upcoming electric car and passenger cars.

Seriously, a new manual, NA Ferrari could cost 1M+ and would get sold immediately

This is just an end of life money grab. About 2-3 years ago I was looking for a manual m3 allocation for my friend and bmw didn’t prioritize those. So he bought a m2

“the limits of the gearbox, the M3 CS H'er only makes 473 hp and 406 lb-ft, leaving it 50 ponies and 73 torque behind the original M3 CS. the new car is also solely rear-wheel drive, versus the earlier CS's all-wheel grip”
Gotta love a rowdy car with rear wheel drive only, it’s a much more fun thrilling experience versus the safety all-wheel-drive brings. But it’s gonna be down on power and your potential modding future will be limited by the weaker transmission.
“The M3 CS Handschalter will start at $108,450, which is actually $11,245 less than the regular M3 CS started at”
This might be true for the MSRP, but I guarantee it any dealership that gets a handshaker in their inventory will absolutely charge a ridiculous market fee on top of what the CS already brings

Not all but most** there are still some hero’s out there. I’d give up names but then I’d be out of a car….
Spicywolff@reddit
Definitely some dealerships are still fair and will charge MSRP and whatever you want to add on. But unfortunately, there are a rarity compared to the cut throats bend you over the barrel no loop dealerships we see today.
SaltCaregiver6858@reddit
Will defiantly say they are not on the west coast or best coast as they like to refer to it as** I live in both and he’s drive my cars from one to the other lol 😂 but even doing that I’m still under ADM…

Like that
jabberjaw420@reddit
they need to go back to their 1980s grill style.
Krxphty@reddit
Its been 6 years please stop living in the past
UnusualLeadership408@reddit
In an era, BMW offering a manual, RWD, rowdy sedan actually deserves some respect. The grille is still ugly, but the soul is still there. This might be the last M3 you can stall at a traffic light. Cherish it.
Noobasdfjkl@reddit
You can still just buy a regular M3 manual
Wassy4444@reddit
Hand schall not press little clicky paddles
PEEWUN@reddit
This is the G80 that I would buy.
cs620g@reddit
I might be an odd ball but I like any forced induction car with either a dct or an auto box. NA engines matches better with a manual transmission.
Jamesthrottlehouse@reddit
Right there with you, especially on the newer stuff
IAmWellBehaved@reddit
Instantly becomes the most sought-after G80 and likely the best to drive. These are probably awfully aggressive to daily unless you're just a super fan (which you are if you bought one) or live in an area with superb pavement, but what a machine.
Yeah the higher output would be nice but for that weight it's a ton of power. Compared to the heavy new RS5 or C63 plug-ins with their huge on paper horsepower ratings, I would take this every time.
