Moving company recs USA > Canada

Hello hello! I'm planning to move to the Vancouver area from Oklahoma in early 2027 to be with my long distance partner. Does anyone have strong recommendations for international moving companies? I've been researching and feel so flooded; I'd love to hear from people who have actually moved, not just the business trying to sell mt their service.
I'm also curious if anyone had rented a Uhaul/similar and driven themselves and if they think that was worth it/saved any money.

I’ve moved the between the US and Canada three times. The last time was NYC to Montreal and I drove a 10’ foot truck myself. It cost me about $700 with gas and rental. Totally worth it as movers would have been a few thousand dollars, it could take weeks (both time we use movers the trucks were very very late) and likely you still have to meet it at the border to clear your items.
U-Haul was so much easier. If you have organized paperwork the CBSA officers really appreciate it. I spent only about 25 minutes in secondary

Vancouver area? Just get a domestic U Box have have it shipped close to the border, on the US side. Rent a truck in Canada, drive to the US, load the stuff, drive to Canada. Deal with customs yourself.
That saved me a few thousand dollars and a decent amount of time when I moved to Montréal.

My friend just told me about a service called UhaulUbox where uhaul puts a container on your premises for you to fill with your stuff and then they transport it to your destination. Worth exploring

I used U-Haul Ubox when moved from Canada to US. Highly recommend!

Maple Syrup Moose movers.
Going to Uhaul or whatever way to go is pretty easy, you just need your customs stuff in hand for the border. It's not difficult paperwork to get.
