How bad is OLED burn in in 2026?

I'm building a new PC and so far I chose the new MSI 320hz 1440p fast IPS display, because I'm scared of the OLED burn in as I play 5-10 hours a day (although with dim brightness) and it's mostly 1-2 of the same games (RL and cs2).
I also like to afk a ton and leave my monitor and PC on and not have to bother with it, and also I want to buy that PC with the monitor and not have to worry about anything for like 3-4+ years.
Is OLED just not for my case? Also what do you think about that 320hz 1440p MSI monitor vs a 240hz 1440p OLED?
Also I should probably mention that I really don't like a dark theme on my PC. I like my chrome white.

If you only play 1-2 games the HUD can burn-in after a couple years. It isn't a big problem but I would expect to replace an OLED after 5 years if you game 5-10 hours per day.
In your specific usage I think the IPS model is fine. Your 2 primary games don't use HDR and 360Hz IPS will be significantly faster than 144Hz VA.

I've had a 1440p lg oled monitor for about 4 years and have not had burn in issues at all. The monitor's firmware has a number of mitigations build in, almost all of which you will never notice. It shifts images around in imperceptible ways so that stuff doesn't burn in as easily, and it will also turn off the display pretty aggressively if it detects a static image for more than a few minutes. The way it does this is actually very clever, and is fully transparent to the os. As far as your os knows, the monitor has stayed on and kept outputting to the display. As soon as there's any movement at all, it brings the screen back on, but it happens instantly.
It's completely unobtrusive ime. The only time i could see it affecting you is if you spend a lot of time looking at completely static images without moving the mouse at all.

most oleds have 3 year burn in warranties
if you really insist on just leaving your monitor on maybe just get wallpaper engine and hide your task bar. only issue that might arise using it like this is the monitor might insist on a refresh when you want to use it. typically this is done when your monitor goes to sleep to be unobtrusive.
