Think my CPU might be bottlenecking my GPU, can anyone confirm?

Hey, think my CPU might be bottlenecking my system but wanted to get some other opinions.
Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- GPU: RTX 3060 Ti
- RAM: 16GB
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
When playing subnautica 2 my GPU sits around 50% while individual CPU cores peak at 100%.
I was thinking of upgrading my CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600 since it's a drop-in upgrade on my board. Does that sound like the right move or would I be better off upgrading the GPU instead? Any advice appreciated, thanks!

It's the right move as long as you want the upgraded performance and it's worth the cost to you.
Having a bottleneck isn't an issue and is completely normal if you're happy with your PC as it is.

It definitely is. Upgrade to a 5600 or better asap.

MSI afterburner with Rivetuner setup the on screen display. Watch a YouTube tutorial for the best layout. Now at the click of a button you can see CPU/GPU usage, temps, frequencies, FPS highs and lows etc. However it is time to upgrade the R5 5600 as suggested will fit nicely with your setup.

Definitely CPU bottleneck

Yes, it sounds like it is to be honest.
If I were you and could afford it, I would get a 5600x/5500x3D. The performance level of the 3060 Ti is still absolutely stellar, but if you run into VRAM issues the 9060xt 16gb/5060 Ti 16gb is an option. It’s just a shame that they NVIDIA shafted the 3000 gen on VRAM

Sounds like you need a new CPU. The 5600 would be a huge upgrade.
