Stay with ddr5 16gb or upgrade to 16gb x2?

Greetings
Is it worth buying another ram?
I purchase a setup recently but I didn't know about dual channel, the guy at the store told me that it wasn't that influential, but I'm wondering if someone can guide me.
Components:
Rtx5060ti inno3d 8gb
Amd ryzen 8700f
Fanxiang 16gb 6400mhz 1.35v cl40
1tb ssd m2
B850m d3hp board
Power supply 850w cybernetic gold certification)
What I play the most is Dota 2 and CS2.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Dual Channel RAM is better than single channel. DDR5 is better than DDR4. AM5 is better than AM4.
But ultimately the graphics card is the most important component. An 8GB 5060 Ti is worse than a 16GB 9060XT. At this point it typically doesn't matter much because the graphics card holds everything back: https://www.techspot.com/articles-info/3021/bench/Average-1440-p.webp
Even for games that are CPU heavy, you have limited L3 Cache with Ryzen 8000.
Unfortunately there's no cheap fix for your PC. AM5 has upgrade potential - if you spent another $1,000 on say a 9070XT & X3D, then proper dual channel is a worthwhile investment.

Thanks for your answer

I'd suggest to just start playing. If you are not satisfied with how it is currently, then add another ram. But i think you should be fine with what it currently is.

Thanks man

the guy at the store is a dummy. it does have an influence. 2x8 is better than 1x16. if oyu can get another 16 than go for it. although the gains might only be noticiable with a monitoring software

I appreciate it

I would argue that having gains only noticeable with monitoring software really isn’t that influential.
You called him a dummy then proved his point.

Your PC isn't using more than 16gb of ram in those games. I'd say get a second stick if you specifically have frame drops which bother you
