Why do you need their permission? Go take your checkride.
MountainObscuration@reddit
If they have an in house DPE and everyone knows exactly what to say and do, it might be worth it.
Passing checkrides is everything.
On the other hand, if its a random DPE, I’d say the hell with their policy

English proficiency is a requirement. Just sayin…
zoomzoomzoomie@reddit
What exactly does this post have to do with English proficiency?

Reading the far/aim.

so sounds like you're stuck, the hours are in your logbook, they COUNT. since it seems your stuck for another 10k, just go fly the hours and get out as soon as you can

Name and shame
EliteEthos@reddit
The resounding recommendation when you posted this was to find a new school…

You continue to prove this point…
Seriously… why are you still there? It’s issue after issue.
LevelBroad2686@reddit (OP)
Because i have already paid them all the money.I have still around 10 grand left there and they wont refund the money back
EliteEthos@reddit
You paid them upfront too?!
LevelBroad2686@reddit (OP)
Yes not only me lot of studnets. And also they breaching contract too when students leave the school.they didnt refund 28 grand to one of my friend when contract says 25% withdrawal charge
bhalter80@reddit
School's on shakey ground and doesn't have the money to give back. They took the money, used it to pay for the last guys they took money from on the premise that new students would come.
Now starts are down, new students are not coming and they're shaking down everyone they can find. Sorry man use up your balance ASAP and GTFO

So you have all the requirements of 61.129(a) met , all the required flights in your logbook are signed by an authorized instructor and you’re ready for the check-ride but the new school wants you to fly another 30 hours?
Short of the new instructor wanting to verify you’re ready for the check-ride & having the 3 hours in the preceding 60 days there’s no reason under Part 61 they shouldn’t be able to endorse you for the check-ride.
30 hours at today’s dual rental rates is probably $7k+ , unless there’s something i’m missing it sounds like they’re trying to rip you off or there’s some miscommunication.
LevelBroad2686@reddit (OP)
They just saying school policy
gmcrtv@reddit
Tell them you believe you’re ready for the practical test recommendation and there’s no legal need to fly the 30 hours and you won’t give them the money to do so.
bhalter80@reddit
Is your current school 141 or 61? If it's 141 the TCO may require that time be done in their program. Either way for your 8710 and resume you have 280. For the purposes of the 141 program you may only have 250. It depends on how their program is structured
LevelBroad2686@reddit (OP)
Im part 61
bhalter80@reddit
They say you can't count them for what exactly? For a checkride? For job applications?
Why does this policy supercede 61.51 and 61.129?
Goop290@reddit
If its part 61. Screw them you can do it as long as you meet the requirements for the regulation 61.129.
If you're part 141, well, they can take a maximum of 50% of those hours IF THEY WERE ALSO DONE 141 + some other stuff. That reg is 141.77(c)
If your doing 141 to total house does not matter anymore as you need 120 hours in that specific course. 141 appendix d
Flavortown42069@reddit
Sounds like they are squeezing you. That’s BS, especially if you meet the requirements.
