Drone seen while coming in for landing SFO

Hi all! Not sure if this is the right page or if I should even do anything, but I saw a drone in the sky coming in to land in SF slightly below us. We were making our big u-turn and passed over the San Jose Maninta Airport (SJC), and I saw this bright green dot in the sky about our altitude, or slightly lower.
Is there someone I should report it to or should I report it at all? Thanks in advance!!!

Bright green could well be another aircraft. The right wing has a green light on the tip. Honestly as someone in the back who has no way to know if it was another airplane or presumably much experience identifying aircraft I wouldn’t sweat it too much. I am not aware of a formal way for someone who isn’t pilot or ATC to report something, and frankly a report to your local FAA office or ATC facility would almost certainly go nowhere for better or worse.

Fair enough. I guess im just on high alert b/c I'm a student pilot and train around the sf bay airspace. Hopefully it was just a plane.

Ah ok I guess a little different if you are the pilot even as a student. Tbh probably the best thing going forward would be to ask ATC about it in the moment, especially in airspace that controlled they can definitely tell you if someone is over there. How close was this drone?

I was in a commercial plane. I just meant that I train in the area. I was more wondering if its something i tell the pilot or flight attendants

I’m a little confused, so the drone was over SJC or SFO? There is apparently an area near SFO where you can legally fly a drone - in fact someone often posts their SFO drone shots to this sub.

We were on a long landing and I saw it while we were over SJC - so turning right for base.
