What’s your favorite brand of ammo and why? I’ve been using Hornady. I can tell it’s not cheaply made and is reliable

For competition use: PMC 55gr .223, this stuff loves all my rifles. Blazer 124gr for 9mm, accurate and typical don’t have issues with it.

I prefer not to use cheap dirty ammo. I’ll spend a few extra bucks on cleaner stuff and spend less time scrubbing the gun

What's the use case? Punching paper? Hunting? SD? There's a decent amount of details missing here

My question is if you had to pick one overall brand for general use. I understand there are various applications. Just overall for general use

Federal, if I could only use one brand. HST 147g for the 9mms, tactical slugs and 8-pellet for the 12ga. .22lr and .556 leave something to be desired, but I could work with it.

Federal for CCW handgun use.
Federal for serious defense rifle use.
Winchester Ranger T for PCC Suppressed.
Remington for PCC suppressed when Ranger T is out of stock.
Federal or Remington hunting ammo.
CCI for rimfire.

Depends on use case. I use match ammo in precision shooting over 500 yards, federal softpoint for deer, and the cheapest non remanufactured I can find for plinking.
