Can I restore/clean these mags?

I fucked up. The mag on the left at least. This is my pocket carry while doing work and I guess I must’ve been sweating so bad my spare mags rusted in my pocket. Tried cleaning the left mag with a steel brush (I lost my brass one) but thought if I was really careful I could clean it without fucking up the blue. Voilà!
Anyway what can I do to properly clean these? Oily rag doesn’t work. The rust seems embedded in the metal like it’s porous (hence my extra extensive brushing) Shit does not just wipe off. It seems to have only rusted the worn blued parts from rubbing up and down the mag well. Worst case scenario I have to buy new ones.

They're magazines not Faberge eggs. As long as you keep them oiled a bit they won't rust. The surface pitting likely won't affect their performance. You could always use a higher viscosity oil that'll stick around a bit better. I use high heat automotive brake grease on certain parts of my guns.

I’d just oil them and call them fine. They’ll just marred up again anyway.

Cold blue is a thing.

I’ve got a bottle of blue but never used it. Was always intimidated the fact it could look like dog shit. Would a good YouTube tutorial teach me everything I need to restore this?

Lil bit of oil. 0000 steel wool. Re-blue.
