Fooling buyers into thinking it's legally classified as an e-bike that doesn't require a license, registration, and insurance.

This bike is sold under probably dozens of different "brand" names always around the $600 price range. It's a budget bike with cheap parts so it can be a bit of a gamble as to longevity and reliability, but some people have good luck and like them. At that price point you just have to be aware of what you're getting and that it's a bit of a gamble with higher odds that you'll get a lemon.

There's something fishy here I think. I just examined the specs on the Tonnerrey site and nowhere in the 'what's in the box' or 'technical specifications' is a battery mentioned. I would contact them via their 'chat' bot and see if a battery is included with the ebike.

The price change is too drastic; it's hard to imagine the price being halved. Therefore, I don't really believe this car was originally priced at $1299.
