Hvalur is open and getting ready to kick off the 2026 whaling season. They are permitted to kill 150 whales. Thanks Iceland, what a way to usher in the eco tourist crowd.

Iceland. Japan. Norway.
All off my tourist list until they stop killing whales.

Oh no, people catching food!
Do you have this energy for salmon fishers?

Salmon arent endangered.
There is no worldwide moratorium against salmon, but there is for whales.

Salmon? Famous r-strategists, food of the sea, common whale fodder? Those salmon? The ones without language or higher cognition? Is there a reason we should be bringing the same energy for them?
