AM4 Build Upgrade Recommendations

Hello everyone,
My reason for posting is that I want to upgrade my pc but don’t know what I should do or where to go. Imo I have two paths do a am5 build or build upon my current am4 platform.
I play a variety of games some are cpu intensive and some are gpu intensive, but id like a nice 1440p build that could run at smooth frames with high or ultra settings.
My current build is this,
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
RAM: HyperX Fury 32gb 3200mhz
MOBO: AsRock B450M Pro 4 R.2
GPU: EVGA RTX 3060 12gb
Power Supply: 500W Thermaltake Smart
Storage: OS on 512gb SATA SSD and games and files on 1tb Crucial nvme ssd
Case: AZZA case dunno exactly which one but its microATX and has three Corsair fans (two intake one exhaust)
I usually do 1440p at 60fps but a 120-165fps build would be great if my budget allows. I’m trying to make a budget build but I also want to stay with the same cpu and gpu brands I have now. Again I’m thinking either stay with am4 or go to am5.
Any questions or suggestions are appreciate!

Budget? Location?
Your very first upgrade should be the power supply. The Thermaltake Smart series is rated F tier on the PSU Tier List

Alberta Canada and I’m trying to stay around 1500-2000 total I’m ok with keeping the case and ram if I stay on am4.
Oh ok I figured so what would you recommend then

Why do you say the 9060xt over something like the 5060 ti or similar
aragorn18@reddit
The 5060 Ti is slightly faster but significantly more expensive.
Why do you feel the need to replace your motherboard?
dopekid69@reddit (OP)
Well it only supports pcie3.0 and not 4.0 plus it only has one nvme lot and id like two and how hard would it be software wise to switch cpus
aragorn18@reddit
Fair enough. No software changes needed to upgrade the CPU.

i run 2 am4 rigs just to do it because everyone acts like you need this or that to game hi-end, and i get off on it lol .. one has a 9070xt/5800x .. the other has a 5600/5070ti .. both on b550 boards/32g ram .. both 1000w msi 3.1 psu's .... both run 'any' game at ultra 1440 with rt at a 144fps cap and keep it pegged there .. so .. people can argue all day you need this or that, i just chuckle like ok, sure .. if you know you know ..

What would you recommend a Ryzen 7 with amd gpu or Ryzen 5 with RTX gpu
