Wolverhampton-born Aaron Rai has just become the first English winner of the US PGA Golf Championship since Jim Barnes in 1919. A brilliant achievement. UK players have now won both major golf tournaments in 2026 after Rory McIlroy won the Masters last month. Could we win all four this year?!?

I suspect Cameron Young or Scheffler will get one of the next two. The US Open always seems to be set up as some sort of exercise in masochism disguised as golf, so it's particularly hard to pick.

Cameron Young has been terrible for the most part since he joined LIV. He’s looked much better recently because his putting always carried his game and it seems to be back.
I know he did well this week but I don’t think his form is good enough to suggest a potential major win this year.

Yeh, I doubt we can do the clean sweep. So glad that Rai could stop Rahm from winning today though. I’d love to see Rose win at the Open!!

Wonderful victory and a true gent to match.
Would be amazing to see GB & NI golfers sweep the majors this year. Rory may well have another one in him this season, Fitzpatrick, Rose and Fleetwood are all knocking on the door consistently.
