Repairing a dashboard on a Patrol Y61 damaged by the sun

Hi, this is a classic problem with this vehicle, but I'm starting to get a bit fed up with this warped dashboard. Do you have any suggestions on how to repair or cover it, please?

Do you have a brand or product recommendation? I'm having trouble finding anything other than probably cheap stuff on AliExpress.

Do not buy a light color. It will reflect off the inside of the windshield and ruin your vision out the window. Even gray will reflect.

It's not that cheap, it costs 40 euros for something potentially as bad as its current state, which I won't be able to return.

Well, I think that maybe lessens the investment cost.

To help out a bit, have a look maybe at Australian suppliers. The Nissan Patrol is a popular model there and we've got serious sun down there.

This came up in my search:

Yeah personally if i was going to want it a oem stock look id get some nice almost clear tint like 70% or higher and that would block a lot of heat and uv rays and just buy a replacement dash. Or if i didnt care to id buy the cheapest. Carpet at ikea and a exacto knife and cut it to fit and then double side tape it down

Unfortunately, it's completely illegal to put even the slightest tint on your windshield in France. I'll probably end up buying my own carpet... even if it won't be ideal.
