Not sure if this belongs here but it gave me a laugh
teaisformugs82@reddit
I'm kind of disappointed that there's cans in it and it bit just a bucket with beer in it!!!
sM0k3dR4Gn@reddit
I was helping out at my local brewery and the boss gave me a literal bucket of extra pale ale to sip on while I helped with bottling. I felt very cool at that moment.
Damnesia13@reddit
Many many many years ago I ordered a bucket of beet and was let down when they brought me a bucket filled with ice and 6 beers in it. I was really expecting a bucket filled with iced cold beer poured into it.
Dustin0791@reddit
Where would you even order that? How is that a delivery option?
teaisformugs82@reddit
Haha I don't even drink beer but I still really like the idea of it just being in a bucket!!
I can imagine how disappointed I'd be if I ordered that too!! Especially with only 6 bottles!! That's no where near a buckets worth!!
FewReturn2sunlitLand@reddit
Now I'm imagining ordering a pitcher of beer and it's just ice and two cans stuffed into a pitcher.
madchen44@reddit (OP)
😂😂
Princess_Slagathor@reddit
Way way way back in the day, that's how they used to get beer. Take your bucket, fill it with beer, then go home.
That's where Hank Williams got the inspiration for his song. "My buckets got a hole in it, can't buy no beer"
RFC793@reddit
And bits of bar debris floating around in it

KyloRaine0424@reddit
It would be flat and would taste like cardboard or wet paper
danny_ish@reddit
It would not be flat for most of the quantities were talking about. The buckets that hold 6 beers are like 3 L. Easy enough to take down in one sitting.
KyloRaine0424@reddit
If the beers are packaged directly in the bucket they would absolutely be flat by the time the are drank. I wouldn’t assume a plastic bucket is air tight
danny_ish@reddit
Sorry, I was considering a bar setting where they would pour the beer directly in a bucket versus putting six beers in the bucket
KyloRaine0424@reddit
Oh like those beer towers, I get what you’re saying
labenset@reddit
Haha, reminds me of this video posted a few weeks ago
SandwhichEfficient@reddit
As a beverage manufacturer all I can think about is how many more cases the bud light pallet has on it vs the buckets. Especially being a cheaper product. That shits eating up all the profits
ZombieChief@reddit
Garage Beer is owned by Travis and Jason Kelce. It's meant to be a really basic light beer.
mitchij2004@reddit
Garage lime is really good yardwork beer, maybe the best actually.
OneBucFan@reddit
Leinenkugel summer shandy would like a word
curlyfat@reddit
I wanted to hate it. But it’s got a lot more flavor than a beer that light has any right to. I really like it and almost always have it around now. 😞 It’s a solid mowing beer.
what_dat_ninja@reddit
I read that as morning beer and was concerned
danny_ish@reddit
Its a morning beer for me on Saturday and Sunday. But I wake up, get changed, brew coffee, and go right to yardwork for 2-3 hours, then have one or two beers while I make lunch.
amnesiac854@reddit
Just a couple brews to stop the shakin’
JD-Moose@reddit
Morning beers aren't concerning when you work nights

tBF, I don’t mow in the afternoon heat like a psycho…
SparklingLimeade@reddit
Prohibition gutted the American beer industry. This is the healing finally reaching the macrobrewery scar zone.
I always described mas market light beers as "club soda with a hint of grain." And that's not necessarily a bad thing but so many of the available examples were subpar. I'm happy that more good light beers are around.
n14shorecarcass@reddit
You've sparked my intrigue with the "mowing beer" comment. Off to costco I go, for a literal bucket of beer.
mattchewy43@reddit
I read that as morning beer. Still works I think.
So-Called_Lunatic@reddit
I really like the Lime beer.
cohonka@reddit
I don't know who the owners are and have liked it since the first try. It's a good beer.
Alex_GordonAMA@reddit
They don’t own nor did they start it. They invested in it. It was a local Cincinnati area beer/brewer.
ZombieChief@reddit
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/jason--travis-kelce-join-forces-for-the-first-time-as-owners-and-operators-of-garage-beer-302170190.html
Alex_GordonAMA@reddit
That doesn’t say anything new. They invested heavily in it and they do their social media promoting and help advertise through commercials and shit. If you think either of them are doing day to day operations I have a bridge to sell you.
Fine-Bumblebee-9427@reddit
No one thinks that, but they are still owners.
ZombieChief@reddit
I don't think you understand the concept of "ownership".
Mister_angel1@reddit
That’s so lame
ree_hi_hi_hi_hi@reddit
Why?
Mister_angel1@reddit
It’s a couple of lousy football players vanity brand of light beer LMAO
ree_hi_hi_hi_hi@reddit
What about their hall of fame careers makes them lousy? Also it appears from the other comments it’s actually a decent light beer. I still don’t get what you mean.
Mister_angel1@reddit
Dickrider.
ree_hi_hi_hi_hi@reddit
LMFAO good one 😂 and what makes you call me that?
seulloup@reddit
Insecurity.
theregoesmyherro@reddit
So what’s the lame part?
Mister_angel1@reddit
I’m sorry you love guys who will be revealed to have cte when they die so much. It’s embarrassing but go ahead.

SpartanDoubleZero@reddit
It tastes stale to me, if you want good cheap beer try outlaw light. Cheaper than Busch, tastes better than Sam Adam’s
So-Called_Lunatic@reddit
I do like the outlaw light, they had 30pks for 19 bucks at Kroger.
MeddlinQ@reddit
Beer flavored too.
Gorkymalorki@reddit
I had it when I visited my parents in Kansas City, it's not bad for an American light beer. I would take it over bud, miller, and coors. Of course it helped that we were at a really great bbq restaurant when I had it.
sleepytipi@reddit
This is me and blue light but only when I can get it where it's brewed locally. For whatever reason it doesn't seem to travel well. Get it back home in NY though and it just has such a pleasant taste for a beer. It's impossibly easy to drink.
RulesoftheDada@reddit
I imagine they sell their majority stake in 5 years after they got an investment firm on board to help expand.
Next-Drink8593@reddit
Oof…Okay thats all I needed to know.
steavoh@reddit
It's funny, I always called regular lagers "beer flavored beer" before seeing this.
PerformanceWaste5810@reddit
Its there intentionally to poke fun at overly complex or pretentious craft beers
HughMungus77@reddit
How much were they?
Trilobite_Tom@reddit
4%?!? My piss is stronger.
ThirdBorracho@reddit
Its a light beer what do you expect
Most lagers are around 4%?
Same-Suggestion-1936@reddit
Saying you refuse to drink a six pack you won't get sloshed off is not the brag they think it is
ThirdBorracho@reddit
??
Same-Suggestion-1936@reddit
They're saying they wouldn't drink a 4% beer when that's about what's best for getting tipsy on a sixer. Anything stronger he's only having a few, which means less beer, or admitting he only gets drunk when he drinks beer
Grimy_Ranarr_Weed@reddit
Listen up buddy, I'm a real man and I ONLY drink 9% imperial IPAs
stefanopolis@reddit
Most IPAs are frickin narsty. I ain’t out here trying to drink grass.

This was at a Sam’s in DFW Texas
looking4advice9@reddit
Great marketing, who tf throws away a good bucket? Theres going to be 60 of these in alot of people's garage in no time!
automator3000@reddit
The bucket beer thing. As a Minnesotan, I’m sorry we unleashed this trend on the world.
Factorywind@reddit
As a Canadian, I'm super curious about bucket beer and think I absolutely need this.
automator3000@reddit
I’m surprised Molson doesn’t have one. The concept is a 5 gallon bucket (I assume y’all have an equivalent that’s like a 20 Liter?) so you can go fishing and drink and the bucket is your bucket for your catches. Or in ice fishing, the bucket is your seat.
Factorywind@reddit
As I read further down the comments I found out that it's cans inside and was bummed. I really wanted a bucket of beer...sans cans 😆
automator3000@reddit
Don’t we all.
I brew beer for a living. I would love it if I could package a 5 gallon bucket for retail sale as a gimmick one summer. It would be so fun.
Admirable_Ardvark@reddit
Who thought putting beer in a plastic bucket was a good marketing tactic?? Unless it's cans inside of the bucket? But even then I'd never buy this..
OnlySpoilers@reddit
I feel like it’s a great idea, what other beer do you buy that has a functional case? I would buy the beer just for bucket tbh
Admirable_Ardvark@reddit
If you would buy the beer "just for the bucket" then just go buy a bucket??
I don't need functionality from my beer case. And the majority of people are going to throw it out or they'll reuse the first one or two and then start throwing them away.
And at that point it's just adding more plastic waste to "fix" a problem that already has a valid and less environmentally impactful solution.
DIJames6@reddit
Not buying a bucket of beer isn't going to save the earth champ..
Admirable_Ardvark@reddit
Wow what an amazing conclusion you came to there little guy! Must have taken a lot of your thinking capacity, be careful, you might hurt yourself thinking that hard!
DIJames6@reddit
And I'm sure that silly little comment made you feel really smart..
Admirable_Ardvark@reddit
Nah, simply a comment about your extremely high iq reply. I needed to let you know how impressive it was that you managed to use nearly 100 percent of your brain to inform me!
Anyway color me informed, have a good one my little reddit hero!
OnlySpoilers@reddit
Because I can have bucket and beer. Saves a trip
Sixclynder@reddit
If I still drank I would have gotten this and just repurposed the bucket for my tools
po_ta_to@reddit
It is cans in a bucket.
Admirable_Ardvark@reddit
Yes I noticed that and corrected myself before you did but thanks anyway
gientsosage@reddit
how the fuck adds ice to beer
JD-Moose@reddit
Ice to the bucket, not actually in the beer.
Shady_Scientist@reddit
Ooh, so the bucket is used as a cooler?
DrippyTowel@reddit
I tried this beer once, it's not good. Gave away the rest of the pack I had after trying to enjoy 3 or 4 of them.
neomal@reddit
This stuff is awesome. They have lime version as well
Danimaldodo@reddit
I saw these recently. Its like 5 bucks more for the bucket 24 pack over the standard cardboard box 24 pack.
madchen44@reddit (OP)
They had it for $29.99. I’m not a beer drinker anymore and I honestly don’t know what a current 24 pack goes for these days
Danimaldodo@reddit
I think it was 28.99 at my local nw ohio Kroger
WiseSpunion@reddit
I need this
Hotwyre@reddit
Beer flavored beer? Sounds like they bought something from nileblue lol
Year3030@reddit
I saw this too heh.
Pernicious_Possum@reddit
This has no place here. It’s just good, basic lager type beer. Not craft, but not micro. Just a solid drinking beer
TKG_Actual@reddit
Ewwww, light beer.
WaltsNJD@reddit
It definitely doesn't fit but it seems like people are enjoying the post lmao
madchen44@reddit (OP)
😂
madchen44@reddit (OP)
😂😂
Chucktayz@reddit
It’s actually pretty solid beer. It’s perfect for a garage beer
Malkezzar@reddit
Great for car stuff!?!?!?! Does this perchance include driving?
Calamity0o0@reddit
They mean what you can use the bucket for after (ignore if you were just making a joke)
boarhowl@reddit
You mean for pooping without having to make a stop during road trips?
Calamity0o0@reddit
It's good to be prepared if you get stuck in traffic!

Skr000@reddit
Let’s get some fucking FRENCH TOASTTT
Dripping_Gravy@reddit
Is that shellfish?
Bean-Penis@reddit
Honestly, back when I use to drink if I seen aomething saying beer flavoured beer I'd have bought it. Was too many of that early craft shite going around and in some of the bars it became the only option.
cohonka@reddit
Where I am it's hard to find anything outside of the big names like Bud and Miller that aren't IPAs. I just want a nice ale sometimes.
AdhesivenessNo5549@reddit
Had Garage Beer, it's like Pabst or Hamm's. Not bad, and a 5 gallon buckets about $5.
TerminatorAuschwitz@reddit
I just looked it up because that sounded like bullshit. One of these buckets is 28.96 at Sam's.
AdhesivenessNo5549@reddit
Friend and I got a 6 pack for $8.65, it was the cheapest 6 pack he saw. I wouldn't buy a 24 pack for 30, when I could get a 36 pack off Coors for $20 at Costco and a bucket for $5.
TerminatorAuschwitz@reddit
We don't have Costco where I am, but an 18 pack of Coors at Sam's club is 20 bucks. I find it hard to believe you can get twice as much for the same price at Costco.
AdhesivenessNo5549@reddit
I'm sorry you find it hard to believe, but I can and a hotdog and soda for $1.50 while I shop.
EvanSei@reddit
I think they meant a bucket is $5. Like a Home Depot bucket. So here you get the beer plus a bucket you can use for other stuff.
TerminatorAuschwitz@reddit
OK I see it now my bad I'm dumb haha.. I was like no way that shit is 5 bucks. I was thinking the same thing tho, at my job we always end up needing 5 gallon buckets and with this you get one plus some beer. Not too bad a deal when you actually need a bucket too.
AdhesivenessNo5549@reddit
You're correct!
jsmith_92@reddit
😳say what?! That’s crazy
HappyMeteor005@reddit
a 'bucket' at a bar to me in florida/alabama means a small pail with ice and five bottles of beer.
bino420@reddit
pretty sure he means the actual plastic bucket that the beer comes in. like the bucket in the photo would be $5 at a store without the beer.
Mattymc075@reddit
That's pretty much everywhere. If they brought me out a 5 gallon bucket of beer, that'd be crazy
TerminatorAuschwitz@reddit
It's 24 cans inside the bucket.
parrmorgan@reddit
Now that's alright.
boarhowl@reddit
Was it the same cost as any other 24 pack?
madchen44@reddit (OP)
$29.99
kvuo75@reddit
its a good idea.. is the bucket insulated?
bigdavewhippinwork-@reddit
Should say “ass flavored beer”
CptPatches@reddit
It's a shame this shares a name with one of the best craft breweries in Spain
shannibearstar@reddit
It’s basic light beer. Not bad
