I'm trying to get a job this summer (I'm 17). I kinda wanna work somewhere in a mall or a place like Color Me Mine. Does anyone have recommendations or advice on where to apply for jobs?

I think Handel’s ice cream in plano is always hiring

Not the mall, but if you have the skills, Plano Parks and Rec always has a huge need for lifeguards.

You could be a referee or time keeper for Plano Sports Authority (PSA) basketball. Pay isn’t great for time keeper, but it’s usually on weekends and it’s easy money.
For referee, you’ll need to go through the course, but the pay is much better. If they are willing to work for it, they can pull out a good $150 in a day. If they do older kids, you can pull more.
If you do a FIFA certified official for PYSA soccer, you can absolutely make bank. You’ll need to work on your cardio to keep going, but you can easily walk away with some $500 paychecks if you schedule yourself right and be a decently consistent official.

Psa also runs summer camps that they hire high schoolers to be counselors for.

Try slick city or any establishment that does kids activities typically they hire a lot of hs kids . Once you get experience you should move into restaurant business .

I would go to the mall and walk around and see if any places are hiring. You'll still need to apply online through their systems, but some places have a spot in the store where you can do that too. I worked at the Abercrombie and Fitch at Stonebriar. Most shifts I just folded clothes coming in shipments in the back, or pulled stock from the shelves based on what was selling. Very easy work, fairly boring though. Most stores are staffed with as few people as possible these days, so not a ton of interactions with coworkers.
I also hear Cinemark theaters are popular, my sister worked at the West Plano one near the tollway/Parker. They hire at an earlier age (15), or at least they did back then, compared to most mall stores which are often 16+.
