What are the best trainers/shoes for wide feet?

As title really. I’m in the market for some new trainers and was wondering if any wide feet lads and lasses can recommend a brand that are comfortable for daily use? Currently wearing ultraboosts often but heard good things about Asics and New Balance.

Recommend two ... Lems shoes. And Wyde shoes. Lems you can get in UK. Wyde is Dutch I think so you have to pay import duty tax and stuff
verbaljumble@reddit
They’re in Sweden and any taxes are covered by them. They have pretty amazing customer service - I own three pairs!

I'm practically 4E

If you're looking for running shoes I've had very good luck with Topo's, which are 'natural foot shape' shoes, like Altra, but unlike Altra they don't only do 'zero drop'* (even though they do zero drop, they have a variety). My current trail running shoes are Asics, went to a specialist running shop and tried on a load of stuff, and they just happened to be the best fit, only time I've tried Altra and they were actually sneaky narrow.
The thing I find is that while my forefoot is very wide at the 'knuckle', my heel isn't, so I sometimes don't get on with the wide fit shoes that are wide the whole way through. Have had mixed results with New Balance wide fit in the past as a result.
If you're looking shoes, I really like Globe Encore 2s, which I found on a reddit thread for wide feet a few years ago, have had 3 or 4 pairs now, and get compliments on them more than any casual trainer I've ever worn. They're technically a skate shoe (I had a pair of Globes in the 90s when skate fashion was in), but they're not a big chunky shoe, they're just a nice suede trainer with a variety of pretty tasteful colours.
*zero-drop means that the heel and toes are at the same height, most shoes will have the heel slightly higher.

My sister has wide feet and the new balance 530 work for her
kettlejuices@reddit
Vans are relatively wide by default and they have wide variants if it's not enough.
Marshmallowmind2@reddit
Altra
ducksoupmilliband@reddit
Keen are great.
tmr89@reddit
New Balance are absolutely terrible for wide feet lol
Bazzlekry@reddit
Skechers wide fit have been great for my stupidly wide feet.
pinkdaisylemon@reddit
New balance. So comfortable in the wide size
pixelunicorns@reddit
They aren't cheap but I have two great pairs of Xero which I use for hiking, and Vivobarefoot for causal everyday wear.
hvhhggggh@reddit
I don’t think my feet are too extremely wide but I really like sketchers
insertitherenow@reddit
Hoka do wide sizes. Fitville are good as well.
captainclectic@reddit
I have wide feet but Fitville ran comically wide lol.
insertitherenow@reddit
They do some really wide fits as well. Great shoes though. Last ages.
HeavyHevonen@reddit
I have found barefoot trainers to be the most comfortable, my toes get jammed up too much otherwise
fuckupfairysummoner@reddit
I have wide feet.
I have got ASICS gel kayanos and they are great.
I also have New Balance 515s and they are great.
I do about 90% of my running in the ASICS but I did misplace them once and did a fairly comfortable 8km in the NBs
MeenaBeti@reddit (OP)
Are both the ASICS gel kayanos and 515s ok for daily use? I don’t do much running
fuckupfairysummoner@reddit
Depends on your fashion inclinations. 515s are great. I'd love to try some 574s but
vipros42@reddit
If you want daily use get some NB 574
Mental_dental96@reddit
Hello
As a woman with wide feet - trying to buy trainers that fit wide feet (a lot of brands like hoka etc do them) comes with a £50-£100 mark up
Instead, I just buy men’s trainers and they work fine
Lunaspoona@reddit
I have new balance for running and sketchers for work.
For my running shoes I went to a running shop and described exactly what I needed, arch support, wide toe box and my budget and they bought me options. There's nothing to say you can't do the same for walking or everyday use they would be happy to help still.
gherkinassassin@reddit
Check out Jim Green, their African Rangers are my daily walkarounds
Scuba_Ted@reddit
Altria are wide just be careful as a lot of them are zero drop which might not suit you.
Brooks do a wide fitting.
noileum@reddit
As has been said Altra do wide (but most are zero drop which can take some getting used to) as do NB in some styles
Logical_fallacy10@reddit
Barefoot shoes.
Fine-State8014@reddit
ASICS and hoka both do 4e
ghodsgift@reddit
Nike SB.

odintantrum@reddit
Amazing Wife feet? Think that’s a whole other conversation.
fourthaccountlucky@reddit
Oh crikey. Think someone made an only fans from this ..
**Wide
Ooops 🤗
emmjaybeeyoukay@reddit
I suggest you look at dbshoes.co.uk they do sizes up to 18 and width regular, 2E/4E and 6E/8E
Variouis brands and a lot of options.
vipros42@reddit
New Balance do wide fit and they are good. The normal width trail running shoes come up wide.
If you are interested in skate shoes then Etnies. Vans are also good in some cases. The SK8 Hi MTE are pretty waterproof, warm and comfy. I've climbed a mountain in a pair (admittedly not a huge mountain)
djfnejdijRandom@reddit
I recently asked a similar question and had lots of useful suggestions.

Slip ons sketchers bloody amazing
GetCapeFly@reddit
Check out Topo Athletic. They’re “bare foot” style so avoid if you’ve got any issues with your joints or arches but otherwise they’re so comfortable with a decent toe box.
Not_AI_Yet@reddit
+1 more for Altra
Gloomy_Custard_3914@reddit
I shop at next. Pick wide fit as a filter and go through those.
Triordie@reddit
New balance 1080
I wear 2e goes up to 4e
this_charming_bells@reddit
I have mad wide feet and am so comfortable in a pair of Hoka Bondi 9s. They’re crazy wide and I’ve never rubbed/had a blister since I’ve been wearing them. 10/10 will buy again 👌🏼
NickCoreTrak@reddit
The ones that you try on in the shop
FitSolution2882@reddit
Zero drop/ barefoot ones.
I spent my whole life so far (35 years) wearing sjoes that are too small - until I discovered them.
Normal high street brands wide fitting are NOT wide.....
Look at Altra Lone Peak WIDE. Lems primal etc
Crudeprimate@reddit
I got a pair of scarpa trainers on a whim and they are great.
I also recently got a pair of feiyue plimsolls because they were cheap and have found them very comfortable.
ams3000@reddit
Hoka in my opinion are generously wide.
yepyep5678@reddit
Asics and brookes
FelisCantabrigiensis@reddit
Meindl comfort fit has a wide toe box and a standard heel. If that's what you need, they're great.
Crudeprimate@reddit
Meindl generally make a quality product. As long as it has a vibram sole.
Quinn_XXVII@reddit
Depends on how wide your feet are
If you sign up to ASICS and Brooks
You can get a trial wearing of their wide fitting trainers
Order some (2E & 4E I recall their widths are)
The 90day trial for Asics is great
Think Brooks still do a 60 day trial
Widebody_lover@reddit
Do you have a broad foot?
SpaceWomble64@reddit
I just bought some New Balance trainers that fit my wide feet
E-Step@reddit
Vans do wide fit
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
I have wide feet for a woman, I also have problems with plantar fasciitis and high arches. I got some sketchers arch fit after a friend recommended them. I wear them for work snd it’s reduced my foot pain greatly so I can definitely say they are good for every day wear
BusAdditional6518@reddit
Mount to Coast are great.
theotherquantumjim@reddit
There’s a barefoot type brand called Xero that do very wide trainers
FolkyWanderer@reddit
Definitely Altra. Before that I was resigned to wearing barefoot shoes.
freakybo0o@reddit
Altra
