I have never seen this before in my entire life
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Ye there Irish but I would love to try them not had for years but surely somewhere stocks them in the uk 🤔
-FantasticAdventure-@reddit
Don’t worry. I think about the Irish Cadburys Caramello daily 😭
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Aw ye this is beautiful and it can be got in Morrisons on the Irish aisle they have!
RhubarbRu@reddit
But for many pounds 😉
Ligeiapoe@reddit
I adore that aisle. Keeps me stocked up on Irish Cadbury’s, Northern Irish Tayto and McDonnell’s curry sauce. Oh and Barry’s of course
FoxesFan91@reddit
try Kimberley biscuits if you haven't already. unreal
Ligeiapoe@reddit
I would love to, but they have gelatine in. There’s some lovely ones called Polos that I like. And a few chocolate ones that Jacobs do too.
RhubarbRu@reddit
Me too! I bring a good few back when I come back from Ireland!
SadAnnah13@reddit
Just googled it and apparently it's available at sainsburys!
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
I always buy several of these when I’m home, really wish they’d sell them here
Word_Upper@reddit
Big Sainsbury's have them in their "Irish section"!
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
My big Sainsbury’s doesn’t have an Irish section 😩.
RhubarbRu@reddit
Me too, they're one of the first things that I have in Ireland!
TelephoneTable@reddit
We should have them, but we don't
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes they should million percent be here !
CiaranONeill381@reddit
We have these in Belfast, easily my favourite ice cream lolly
IansGotNothingLeft@reddit
Start a Go Fund Me to become the UK importer. I'll donate.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Now your talking it’s very tempting haha
CumGuzlinGutterSluts@reddit
We have em in the US aswell theyre called strawberry shortcakes.
Word of warning the enshittification hit em and theyre probably not the same as you remember. They used to be fully covered in flavorful crumbles but now they just look sad as fuck
OhhhhJay@reddit
A colleague of mine (in Ireland) said that ours did a U-turn and are now close to their original selves. Fingers crossed for ye over the pond, god knows everyone could do with some good news
CumGuzlinGutterSluts@reddit
Bonus mention to the chocolate cookies and cream one. So good if you can find em
Federal_Rest_8641@reddit
They’re
Killashan_Rook@reddit
Honestly if you've not had one in a long time it might be better to just live on in your memory. Had one about 3 years ago (back in Ireland) and it was NASTY. Like so stale tasting and super gross. Maybe I just got a bad one though but it's put me off.
FineStranger4021@reddit
Nope you won't find HB icecream in uk
c00ble@reddit
A quick Google hasn't provided me with anywhere you could buy them here.
Maybe see if there's any Irish speciality shops around?
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes I have tried and google said the same thing check Irish shop or something similar
spoons431@reddit
Yeah you won't find them anywhere :(
Ive never seen any of the HB lollies in any shop in GB. I think its because its a ROI brand.
I did one year find a couple of years ago 2 boxes of Pear Picky Porky in a random small sainsburys and poundland for some reason was selling tubs of Joker iceream which I didn't even know was a thing last year. So you might very rarely find Dale Farm stuff but its few and far better.
Though I noticed that M&S have started carrying some Dale Farm buttermilk so I have hope that they might start carrying the lollies. I mean they could market the pear ones as fancy...
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
Sainsbury’s stock dale farm buttermilk in my local one, i was so happy when I found it, I’m not a fan of the stuff they pass of as buttermilk usually in pot like yoghurt but dale farm is pretty good, wouldn’t say it’s avonmore standard but it’s close.
spoons431@reddit
I'm for the North so Dale Farm is what I grew up with!
I hate the yoghurt like stuff - like how are you meant to make soda with that? (It also might explain why ppl will tell you that you can replace buttermilk with yoghurt though - which you most definitely cannot)
If you cant find it you should be able to find this stuff in the Eastern European dairy section; https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/mlekpol-maslanka-buttermilk/112524116 - its got the proper texture but I dont think its the same as the irish stuff but its got the consistency of skim milk rather than yoghurt like it should!
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
Ah nice one. I don’t know how I’d say southern buttermilk is different to dale farm, slightly more pungent I’d say if anything and possibly slightly thicker, but no where near like that yoghurt muck.
nathanherts@reddit
I wish we could get Loop the Loop in England. I love getting them when I come over to Ireland.
spoons431@reddit
I noew really want a loop the loop its been years since I had one!
FearTheSpoonman@reddit
NGL one of the things I miss from living there. Club lemon and a Brunch on a sunny day was the best.
UglyFilthyDog@reddit
I've seen plenty but only ever chocolate ones.
britinnit@reddit
Same and I'm nearly 36. You think being so close they'd have em over here.
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
They are incredible, one of the first things I ever buy when I go back home to Ireland
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes of course one of the first for me to
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes they really are I want one bad haha
BionicWallaby@reddit
Check out feast
prustage@reddit
These are made by Heart Brand which is an Irish company. According to their website though, they do sell in the UK through Tesco supermarkets. Just checked my local Tesco (London) Brunch was listed but out of stock. If you'll get them anywhere it will be at Tesco.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Wow this comment just made my day , you know I’m going to drive to every single shop Tesco to look for these now hahaha but ye thanks for the comment I’ll keep you u posted !
Pigeoncow@reddit
You can use the Tesco app to check stock levels.
DanS1993@reddit
Best get going there’s over 3000 Tesco’s in the UK! Good luck on your quest!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
I know but I’ll try a few different one around the area and see if can even get somewhat close I’ll upload on here if I manage it
Alive-Accountant1917@reddit
Before you waste your time driving around, Tesco’s app is really accurate for checking stock in store
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes good idea this is, I’ll try it , thank you!
amanset@reddit
The brand was just a subsidiary of Unilever up until a few months ago. I forget who the whole food section was sold to.
The branding is used worldwide. In the UK it is Wall's. Here in Sweden it is GB Glace. They all use the same branding and share products.
teerbigear@reddit
Unilever spun out their ice cream business, it's called the magnum ice cream company.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes we need these in uk they need to sort it out asap
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
They need come uk big time theee especially !
turbo_dude@reddit
https://unilever.fandom.com/wiki/Heartbrand
spoons431@reddit
That will be NI you can get them in tesco there!
Plaisteach@reddit
Tesco are pretty good for selling Irish products if they sell well. My local one does Barry’s Tea but none of the others in my area do.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes they are that’s why I’m going to check there first
cable-wrangler@reddit
that looks absolutely banging
mrhippo85@reddit
These look awesome! 😭
BuzzAllWin@reddit
Are the crumbles egg and bacon flavoured because if not it has no right to call itself brunch
wkndjb@reddit
You are going to have about as much getting this as you are a Golden Gaytime.
jeanclaudecardboarde@reddit
*they're Irish....
*they're bound....
izla01@reddit
Always someone who feels the need to unnecessarily correct someone’s spelling 🙄
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes it’s ridiculous and no need for it either I don’t get it
jeanclaudecardboarde@reddit
It's not difficult to get it right though, it's basic English.
the_happy_capper@reddit
I always find it odd when people don't point out the error, as they're and there literally mean different things, and getting it wrong adds effort to reading the sentence
jeanclaudecardboarde@reddit
Especially when they've correctly used "they are" in the same sentence where they've used "there" instead of "they're".
izla01@reddit
Yes it’s the wrong word but the post is clearly asking about something completely different, redditors are just obsessed with correcting people
The_forgotten_panda@reddit
It's not really spelling though. OP keeps using the completely wrong word.
Alarmed-Cheetah-1221@reddit
"But Misssss, you forgot we were supposed to be handing in our homework today"
60022151@reddit
They’re*… also no, you may need to take a trip to Ireland.
Cooopthetrooper@reddit
Was the only purpose of this comment to grammar shame then?
60022151@reddit
How is simply correcting a grammatical error considered “shaming”?
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Ye maybe I do haha
box_twenty_two@reddit
“I can’t answer your question…but I can shame you for your grammatical error.”
MTBGhost@reddit
Pretty sure a nobbly bobbly is the only thing close to this in the UK
oreosaredelicious@reddit
They are nothing alike. Brunch has soft biscuit crumble coating it with strawberry and vanilla ice cream, tastes like a strawberry cheesecake
Highkontrast@reddit
Toffee crumble would like a word
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Ye I have seen those but it’s just not this haha but ye these are so nice but I doubt I’ll find them over in uk
JohnLef@reddit
I persuaded my wife to try a nobbly bobbly once. She was not impressed.
For those who've never had one, the brunch bar has a soft biscuit coating with strawberry and vanilla ice cream within. There really is nothing like it in the UK.
The nearest thing I can think of is an ice cream version of the jam mallow biscuits, on a stick lol.
Icy-Year9020@reddit
There used to be a toffee crumble which has toffee Ice cream coated with a soft biscuits coating. Was amazing and I can only imagine how good the Brunch is. I visit Ireland multiple times a year and have never had it!!!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Ye it’s so nice and yes nobbly bobbly is nothing compared to these it’s really not these are one of a king and so nice! I would do anything for one now haha
MTBGhost@reddit
Looks like I added something on the list to try next time I’m in Ireland then!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes definitely let me know what you think if ever get some there nicest things ever!
fandanvan@reddit
Nobbly Bobbly are my GOAT ice cream ...
OurJimmy@reddit
They’re kinda odd in texture actually! And super soft. Like your granny could bite one easily with her teeth out kinda soft.
Tight-Principle-743@reddit
These are great, but I too only see them when I go back to Ireland - never seen here, and I’ve looked.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes very big in Ireland and seem to be nowhere else it’s a pity
Long-Woodpecker-1980@reddit
They're popular in the north too, I remember having them in Belfast years ago.
They might have made to over to Glasgow, but I've never seen them in England
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes there very popular in Ireland and north I need them bad ! Haha
OurJimmy@reddit
That reminds me! I haven’t had a brunch in a while. I’m in Belfast so they’re easily got.
Ya know depending how desperate the situation is and munchie levels, just get the boat over with an icebox in your motor and fill up 🤣👍. A few boxes of Tayto Wuster and prawn cocktail for good measure. Potato bread and soda too, fuck it 💪. Full food shop! And ya haven’t lived if you haven’t had a Belfast bap packed with crisps or sausage rolls 🤤🤤🤤
Long-Woodpecker-1980@reddit
Plenty of nice ice cream out there yet to be discovered... Use it as an opportunity to broaden your horizons
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes exactly this I’m always trying different ice creams out but these are next level!
Cassie8841@reddit
We have them in America and I miss them so much! Can’t find them in England sadly!!
5AD1E@reddit
yes me too i grew up on them haha
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Wow there in America and not uk? That’s crazy ! 😮
Cassie8841@reddit
Yep as far as I know! They’re named differently in the US but have yet to find anything similar in England anyway!
lochnesssmonsterr@reddit
OMG I grew up in Canada and this was my absolute favourite when I was a kid 😭
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Wow that’s crazy ye it’s very similar ! 😮 very strange there not in the uk if there in America
The_Growl@reddit
Maybe you can find them in an American food store, maybe one of those dodgy American Candy shops will have them.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes I will definitely try these shops, thank you
Malicious82@reddit
Look for a nobbly bobbly closest thing in uk
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
Never heard of them
Shmiggles@reddit
You've just reminded me how long it's been since I've had one of these in my mouth...
ryan34ssj@reddit
No idea but can I interest you in a FAB?
editorgrrl@reddit
In the US, they’re called strawberry shortcake bars (the other flavours are chocolate and toasted almond): https://www.goodhumor.com/us/en/p/strawberry-shortcake-dessert-bar.html/00041000053153
Here’s a recipe: https://www.seriouseats.com/homemade-strawberry-shortcake-ice-cream-bar-recipe
They used white chocolate (not found in the original) to make the coating stick and keep it from getting soggy, and the coating’s just freeze dried strawberries and puffed rice cereal
dible46@reddit
It's called a toffee crumble over here I think. Never seen them in a while though. Are my fav lollies too.
TheAuldOffender@reddit
I may be the only Irish person to dislike Brunch. The ice-cream is nice but the shortbread has a terrible mouth feel, in my opinion.
Inevitable-Panda-350@reddit
They look similar to a toffee crumble without the pink!
doofcustard@reddit
I used to love a toffee crumble. Can you still get them?
Inevitable-Panda-350@reddit
Yes, Iceland or Aldi, I can't remember which, sorry.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
They are strawberry and vanilla absolutely gorgeous they are my favourite but can’t be found anywhere over here
Inevitable-Panda-350@reddit
Sounds lovely!
PushingGravy@reddit
Oh my god! I have been trying to find out what these are for years! Grew up in ireland, move to uk when I was 8. Always fell on deaf ears when I described them to people here! You have solved one of the major mysteries of my life. Now, where to find them!!
Icy_Ear7079@reddit
I can’t even get freestaytos here, only NI taytos. More imports plz
nobiscuitsinthesnow@reddit
FREESTAYTOS
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes exactly this a lot more imports from Ireland please !
rafterman1976@reddit
Finest ice lollies in existence I had one last week
Reasonable-Ad-9402@reddit
They have these in the U.S. a chocolate and a strawberry version but they are not called brunch. I have not seen them in the UK
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
One of the first things I ever buy when I go back home to Ireland, usually stop at an apple greens and get one, a maxi twist and a bottle of rock shandy. Never found them in the uk sadly
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Rock shandy is beautiful Morrisons do have an Irish aisle and it’s the best just wish more shops did it
-myeyeshaveseenyou-@reddit
I immediately went to google, seems they even stock jacobs Kimberley, however unfortunately doesn’t look like they do in my local store 😩
Fit-Choice2368@reddit
They're not everywhere?! In every shop I've been in, at least in northern Ireland, they've been in the freezer aisle? Didn't realise they're not everywhere?!
luckybeee@reddit
I had one of these when I was visiting LA, I think it was called a strawberry shortcake. I’ve been wanting one ever since. If you find them let me know!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes I will let you know so hard but surely there at least one shop that has some
Nervous_Ad1124@reddit
They're shite now. Nothing like how they used to be
JorgeIcarus@reddit
They're*
goblinpeets@reddit
Omggggg I forgot about these!! One of my fav ice creams! Now you made me remember they exist and I want one, OP shakes fist the UK could do with these and actual Tayto crisps. Side note, but last I remember having one I felt that they were lacking in the biscuit crumb coating. So goooood though.
gvnk@reddit
I'm in Ireland so can't really help you but my god I remember they actually used to look like the pic, now there's not even half the amount of bits on the outside of them. But they are the tits, so damn good.
Ikkarus7@reddit
There must be a Nobbly Bobbly mafia in the UK withholding these from coming in. They look great.
Lower-Elk8395@reddit
Huh...these look just like the strawberry shortcake bars in the states.
Loved it as a kid, but at some point they cheaped on the recipe and it turned gross.
If my experiences with food over here tells me something, its chances are these taste like the good shit.
fandanvan@reddit
I would look at farmfoods or heron foods !
MillySO@reddit
I had no idea these were Irish. I assumed they weren’t popular and I got lucky when I spotted them in the shop. Now I think about it, it’s obvious 😂
I miss Caramellos the most but at least I can bring them back with me after visits.
WelshBathBoy@reddit
Nearest is going to be nobbly nobbly, while not strawberry and vanilla, they are strawberry and chocolate.
DangerCheesecake@reddit
The Nobbly Bobbly away kit

scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
I’ve not seen them to order online do you have website ? I need these bad!
-Earl_Gray@reddit
As someone from Northern Ireland, they're readily available in most garages but the quality has gone slightly down. Last one I got had less 'biscuit' bits and I was a bit gutted. Hope you can get one soon!
disco-me-now@reddit
Looks a bit like a nobbly bobbly
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes but I promise you it’s nothing like it I’ve had nobbly bobbly it’s really not the same
Terrible_Ad_8614@reddit
Brunch? So it's a different take on the feast?
Side-note - walls have completely ruined the feast!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes they have feast is not the same anymore as it was years ago
Vegetable_Creme6944@reddit
They kind of look like a Knobbly Bobbly?
Yaseuk@reddit

scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Hahahahaha no strawberry and vanilla flavoured
JohnLef@reddit
My wife insists on having one of these every time we visit Ireland. A Spice burger, and a Brunch Bar.
Drunkgummybear1@reddit
I always have to stop off for a chicken fillet roll at least once. One of these is also somewhere on the list. We (via NI) still have the superior crisp though.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Aw chicken fillet rolls are the best absolutely gorgeous and my favourite but these when it comes to ice cream next level!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes now you’re talking haha spice burgers are beautiful and these are amazing!! If only they could be found over here!
Big_Branch_3995@reddit
Oh Iove these and eat so many of them when i go home to Ireland. So sad that you can't get them in the UK, I have looked previously but couldn't find them. Also now I've seen the picture, I really want one right now!
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes I want one right now aswell haha I always crave them but I’ll check tescos or something like that someone said maybe in there but ye if I find I’ll share where
qqqqtip@reddit
i don’t think we have them here but they look great
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
There so nice and yes I don’t think so but I’ll check every Tesco now hahaha
Alunnite@reddit
My partner loves these and I've never found them. The best I've been able to do is attempt to recreate them.
My first attempt at this was simply vanilla ice-cream in a bowl, topped with crumbled shortbread, and freeze dried strawberries.
The second attempt was basically the same thing but with stations to do the coating and molds.
I've never had them before so I don't actually know what I'm trying to recreate, and not found good online resources that help other than the ingredients list. I can't find my notes on what attempt number 3 is going to be but if I find them I'll edit this post.
https://youtu.be/dPBXgwJD35E?si=d4R2fOFpk0TspKLH
I know it's not the same thing but these look similar enough and Claire is very good at understanding the nuance of recreating things.
scrolldragsix@reddit (OP)
Yes I’ll check that out would be great to get them in uk there so nice !!
SneakiestofRats@reddit
If you're area has a Iceland, they should still be selling them. Alot of small Garages and corner shops still have them too.
They're not what they use to be though.
