Timmy the whale and a sadistic captain

Tady je upravená a rozšířená verze, která do toho dává ještě větší sílu a přesně popisuje ty drsné detaily o vypuštění vody, zranění a následném zatloukání videa.
We will never truly know if Timmy the whale could have survived if things had been done better and sooner. But honestly, why is nobody talking about the sadistic captain?
He made the decision to release the whale completely on his own, without a single expert on board. They literally drained the water and, in the process, likely broke his spine or his fin. It’s sickening.
And the biggest red flag? Why was the video hidden for two whole weeks while they lied straight to our faces, claiming it wasn’t even recorded?
The system just lets them get away with this cruelty and cover-ups while a defenseless animal pays the ultimate price. Timmy deserved a real chance, not a reckless, covered-up stunt. 💔

Please don’t just randomly make a single person responsible for the death. Since it’s beaching, Timmy was going to die. Something like that doesn’t happen because the whale just got confused but 90% of the time there is already a cause both neurologically or physically that impacts the ability to float, dive, and swim. The truth is, all this operation was never meant to happen, Timmy was going to die regardless, all the procedure added was just more pain.

Have you seen that video of the release? The reason he got lost in the first place is that he partialy swallowed a net. From my expertise net is made by humans. He also got entangled in one thats where he probably lost most of his strenght. So after being at least partialy responsible we could have tried saving him instead it took us insane amount of time while his skin was getting eaten alive. He could have been saved but as the sponsors said the captain was paid in advance which should not have happened also our beloved captain said "Finally that beast is off" is something truly insane.

As others are saying, your narrative is wrong because this whale was always going to die. It should never have been in the barge in the first place. Experts warned that, for multiple reasons, it should have been left alone to die where it stranded and no effort to “rescue” it should have been made.
Everyhing done after that just increased it stress and suffering.

It is not wrong the whale even if minimal 20% is our doing because of the nets. When they proceeded with the operation to save him that means he should be manhandled from the boat poetentialy harming him or making him in more pain? i dont think thats fair one thing is leting him die other is harming him and not leting profesionals check his state and than releasing him properly.

He should have never been moved. It is sad we caused his suffering, but there was no saving him. So instead of allowing him to die how he wanted to, we dragged him out to sea to let him drown after torturing him during his last hours. He should have been left alone.

True that professionals needed to be involved at every step, but the focus you’re making strongly implies that the problem was that they weren’t on the barge.
The real tragedy is that the whale was on the barge in the first place.

Where can I watch this video?
Red_Fox_79@reddit
I don’t think there is a video but if you type Timmy fishing net in Google you will find articles

Oh, OP just mentioned that the video had been hidden for two weeks, so I assumed it had finally been posted somewhere

I just saw an interview about his release. OP is right about that crew. They abused him. They didnt pick up the vet and other people from the rescue like as was agreed. 1 person who wanted to film on board was threatened if he would film or take photo’s. The only moment he was allowed to take photo’s or film was when he was allready in the water
Natural-Seaweed-5070@reddit
Oh my god, I didn't know about the net. That poor whale.
Red_Fox_79@reddit
They tried to remove it (that’s what they said) but couldnt remove all of it because it was in his mouth

That being said, Timmy was doomed from the start. The first images of him I saw when he first washed up, he was already absolutely covered in parasites. That’s not a whale that is doing well. I remember thinking he wouldn’t make it. Throughout, I kept thinking his rescue was madness. The only way would have been with intensive, in-patient care, which is just not possible for an animal his size. It’s an unfortunate story and IMO, an example of when humans go too far in caring about a symptom rather than seeing the big picture and attacking the problem at the root
SnooRevelations2754@reddit (OP)
Understandable, my point is they went with the operation to save him and yet on the ship that was transfering him they treated him like shit and instead of letting experts handle it they manhadeled him out of the boat just to get rid of him.

You can guess which minister is blocking the ban on gill nets?
Exactly — Till Backhaus, the one who was so eager to rescue Timmy.
Rescuing one whale is a huge marketing stunt for him, but improving environmental laws? Nah, no need for that. It’s all just one big marketing show for him.

''without a single expert on board''
Of course there were no expert on board when every expert was very clear about this being a horrible idea to begin with.
SnooRevelations2754@reddit (OP)
What are you talking about? The captain threatened the experts that he will shoot them if they dont leave never the less he didnt want anyone to record why is that you think? The experts were on another boat.
Lost_Wealth_6278@reddit
experts from across multiplw marine biology departments in germany agreed from the get go that this whale would die, and that any rescue efforts would needlessly stress a dying animal.
At no point during the "rescue" was a recognized professional near that whale, because nobody with actual knowledge would take part in what essentially was the prolonged drowning of a whale
