Straight up go to the average chewp repair shop in a mall (most likely manned by muslimd) and they'll fix your phone up in a jiffy for way cheaper (depending on the stall, i recommend asking every stall till one guy says "oh i'll do cheaper!")
because id rather pay 50-80 bucks and have my phone ready the same day again than send it in and them taking their sweet time until it comes back to me a month later.
Fair enough, when I had my samsung repaired under warranty they sent some dude who repaired it in a half hour parked outside my home in the back of his van and it didn't cost me a thing
I have a Samsung, literally just got my whole charging port replaced at a local repair place like yesterday. Cost me $75 and about 25 minutes. Not sure where you're getting that quote but you should search around holy shit $330 is insane
One time my keyboard broke for my Mac and only half the screen was working I took it to the store and the kind folks over at Apple said “we checked, there nothing wrong with you computer :)”

Some people don't want to build their PCs themselves. This is building legos compared to buying specific phone parts and soldering them yourself.
