So after several test rides and a lot of research (with some help from ChatGpt) I decided to go with the Velotric Breeze to replace my 6 year old Tower Beach Bum. I narrowed it down to Velotric and Urtopia ( which I liked because of the weight) and liked the Discover 3 but it was a little too heavy so went with the lighter Breeze. I was going back and forth to Velotric and Urtopia dealers but finally went to a dealer in Newport Beach and he sold both so had an unbiased opinion and said the Breeze would be the best fit for me.

I added a nice Kinect suspension seat post since it doesn't have suspension forks and they threw in an upgraded comfort seat for free. They're going to receive and assemble it next week and deliver it to my house. I asked if they could give me anything in trade-in for my Beach Bum but it's an off-brand so not sure if they will.

At one of the shops I mentioned I was upgrading because the Beach Bum battery was degrading and cost $1000 to replace but a guy there told me he had a friend who could recondition it for $200. Is this a thing? If I don't get a trade-in I might try to sell it or keep it as a second bike if the battery can be repaired.
