Advice on chassis scratch build?

I'm interested in attempting to build a car from scratch one day;
I wanted to ask if anyone has tips they've learned about building the chassis?
Most examples online seem to use bent and welded tube sections.
Is that what you guys would do for a one-off build too?
Are there better options? Maybe sheet metal (laser cut with press break bends)?
Square tube vs round?
Let me know anything you guys might know

You have excellent welding and fab skills ?
A jig and frame table to build your frame on ?
If not , it’s gonna be crooked .
You gonna cast the engine block too ?
Building a car is fine but don’t make this harder than it has to be .
You can buy just about any chassis you want foam a dozen different manufacturers.
Way cheaper than you can make it yourself .

Go dig in to a Locost 7; that's pretty much the starter for doing on-road/race chassis.
Its extremely well documented, lots of community support, and a wide range of budgets to build.

Usually frame rails are square tube then the remaining structure is build using round tube. Sheet metal can be used to form the body panels. Building something from nothing is not an easy endeavor. The cost (which is going to be astronomical) isn’t going to be the limiting factor, it’ll be your skill level and patience.
