Help me find a case for an embedded CPU
Posted by LegitAzBawlz@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 4 comments
I am trying to build a desktop around an embedded CPU. I am looking for a simple case and power supply. I am not looking to add a GPU or other upgrades. Are there any OTS cases?

Thanks!

You'd need to have the specifications of the board to find those things. Is it a 12V psu connection ? 19V ? Something else ? Is the connector a standard connector ? If so what exact connector is used ?
Is the "form factor" of the board a defined standard or a custom size ? If its a defined standard, what standard, ie. mini-ITX, and MATX are two defined board standards for desktop computers.
Once you know if its a defined standard or a custom size, its just a matter of searching for cases that accommodate the defined standard that it is, or having a customizable enclosure if its a non-standard board size.
Just from looking at it, its not any common desktop computer standard, but that doesn't mean it isn't some less common, or industrial standard.

Thanks! I am unsure about the size. I dont think its standard (it didnt line up with any of the dimensions I found from some basic googling).
Can you recommend any customizable cases that might be a good fit?

Your motherboard is 203 mm x 146 mm (L x W) plus whatever cooler solution you use for "H" means you can go with any Mini-ITX case that suits you.
Just search for cases which are Mini-ITX form factor and any of those should fit your board.

First thing that comes to mind is Silverstone. Or search for HTPC cases.
