Build: Amd 9600x, Asus tuf b850 plus, Asus prime Rx 9070 16gb oc, crucial 32 gb, SSD nvme, Corsair rm850x 3.1, 5 ventole , lg 27ul500 (40w)
Hi everyone,
I just finished assembling my new PC. The very first time I pressed the case power button, my UPS immediately cut the power and started beeping continuously. After I turned off the PSU switch, the UPS went back to normal. I tried turning the PC on again, and this time it worked perfectly. I rebooted it several times and kept it running for a while; everything checked out fine (RAM, SSD, and temperatures were all good).
The next day, the first two test boots went smoothly. However, on the third attempt, the UPS cut the power to both the PC and the monitor again. Since the OS isn't installed yet, the system is completely idle with no actual load.
Personally, I suspect this is caused by the high "inrush current" from the capacitors in the Corsair RM850x and the RX 9070, which my old Atlantis Land UPS can't handle, triggering its emergency shutdown. However, I’ll leave it to you experts to analyze the situation.
Attached are the official spec sheets of my current UPS and the new one I am considering buying to fix this issue.
