I’m an idiot I know lol. I had it stored in a car and found out after a couple months the car leaked, I’ve already taken the grips off and drenched everything in oil a couple times in the past couple days and I still can’t get the slide to move at all so I can disassemble all the way

Maybe find a better storage solution than in a leaky car for kinths

😱😱Wow what a genius idea

You have no room to use that kind of sarcasm right now, my dude.

You're submerging that pistol in some kind of solvent for a few days; maybe try WD-40.

Douse it liberally with Kroil penetrating oil, maybe?

Find a good gunsmith. Let him deal with that nightmare.

Have you taken it off safe?
Ok-Floor8609@reddit (OP)
Yeah it’s off safe
Sal-LeMandeur@reddit
In the vid it's not, y'know.
Ok-Floor8609@reddit (OP)
Yeah it’s hard to tell in the shaky video but it’s definitely off

I’m definitely an idiot lol but it was off in the video

Safety off

Safety on

I'll bet it's the safety like the other guy said lmao.
I mean - if there's one in the pipe and the bore is otherwise clear - there's a real easy way.
Other than that - if she's unloaded, you can clamp her in place and bonk the space between the recoil guide rod and the barrel using anything sturdy but soft... like.. wood.

I won’t lie I forgot the first couple times I tried lol but it’s definitely off safe now
I’ve tried putting the rear sight against a table and pushing but something like what you said was my next though I just didn’t want to break shit so I hadn’t tried anything yet

Clp clp clp
LordPoopenbutt@reddit
I'd soak it in clp for a while and then try again.

Dunk it in evaporust for a few days. It'll eat the rust. Finish will need to be redone anyways.
