Saw the real life example of how we're old now

Saw a lady coming out of the grocery store. She was holding a potted plant and looked really happy about it.

She had these flowery blousey pants on and.. a nirvana shirt.

She lowkey looked cool as hell to hang out with too.

Tonight I was catching up with an acquaintance at an event and made a comment about my new job that someone I hadn’t met misunderstood and said “Oh, did you retire?” So now I’m questioning if I look old enough to be retired.

I love that she was happy about the plant, poor grocery store plants need people to care for them. However lots of people like plants, that doesn't make you old.

Today in the car I commented to my husband that it’s odd that the local “oldies” station is playing Stone Temple Pilots. And Pearl Jam.

When we were kids that station was playing “Build Me Up Buttercup”.

The one my mother lives in typically plays stuff from the 50s-70s in the lobby. I mused that once we're old enough for those places it'd be all 80s and 90s pop/alternative.
