As a Canadian, I have, however, paid with a paper cheque, so I've only got the 1 point from the Valkman. Only brand name Sony portable music devices for me.
0 if we're not counting the typo.
To add insult to injury, things in my house right now because my husband hordes old technology:
Floppy discs, typewriter, film camera, cds, tapes, vinyl records, a big ass ghetto blaster, vhs tapes, paper maps, paper checks.
1 - Cheques. I remember my mum having a cheque book when I was a kid, but by the time I got my first bank account in '97, everything was already card, so I never had one myself.
I still pay a whole bunch of bills by cheque, never got out of the habit. Not particularly looking to change that now that all these online services charge convenience fees.
Yeah, what happened to 14, 15, and 16? I mean, I've never been great at math and I'm getting older, but counting to 20 is something I'm fairly certain I can still do.
The only one I’m questioning is listening to a boombox outside. We definitely owned one, so I have to imagine we took it out to the back garden on nice summer days...
I never owned records, dictionary, or encyclopedia but I was around them. I'm 46 and honestly don't think I ever sat down and personally listened to a record or 8 track. They were just around.
I actually got 1 because my family never owned any encyclopedias. I remember having to borrow my friend’s encyclopedia on the eve before any reports or projects were due lol.

0 technically, but does it count if it was a kids encyclopedia set and not a regular one? If no, then 1.
realauthormattjanak@reddit
Charlie Brown encyclopedias?
arnpjb@reddit
No, I wish! It was just a boring set of encyclopedias that had illustrations and kid friendly, short explanations. There were 6 or 8 in the set.

My condo association doesn't take online payments, so I have to pay by check.

I got 17 but probably would get 20 if all the lines were there.
Where is 14-16?

Does it count if you had Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? It came with an encyclopedia I think.
johnnypalace@reddit
I thought it was an almanac
shakeyshake1@reddit
You’re right! Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? did come with an encyclopedia though. I must have mixed them up.

2.
I've never used a typewriter (for its intended purpose... just played with the buttons on my Dad's old one.)
And I went straight to using a debit card instead of ever getting a check book.
mnemonikos82@reddit
Wait? Do people not use paper checks anymore?
Glittering_Rush_1451@reddit
Very rarely do people use paper checks anymore but I’ve never seen anyone pay with paper chick
mnemonikos82@reddit
I work with too many independent contractors that refuse to use online services, so we pay in paper checks occasionally.

1 Point to poor to have a home encyclopedia growing up.
IdioticPrototype@reddit
I had a digital encyclopedia, I think it came as freeware with a PC in the early 90s.
