Help: overheating

Hey everyone, I’m at my wits end here. I build a pc,
9700x
Asus prime 5070
Kraken elite 360
Gigabyte b850 eagle
Corsair rm850x
But everytime I turn it on, it is overheating. All the way to 104 degrees. I did check to make sure the plastid wrap was off, could see the aio made contact with cpu. Cleaned them both and reapplied thermal paste, make sure it was tighten enough.
Few things to note, the motherboard doesn’t explicitly have a pump header, all I could find online was to plug the fans into CPU_FAN and AIO into CPU_OPT. I tried both ways, same problem. I even turned it on and could feel the liquid rushing through the tube. Lastly I did boot it up and install windows without the graphics card, so even on the aio, it think I’m using integrated graphics. I am at a loss here. Please any help is welcome

I would boot into the BIOS and check CPU temperature. Make sure it's in Celsius and you are not reading Fahrenheit. For the CPU_OPT header in the BIOS under the fan section look for that header settings and either flatten the curve just below the top or set to DC mode and set around 10.4v. I have read that some modern AIOs do require more amperage then fan headers can supply.

So I was able to get into bios. It seems it does not read a flow rate for the pump no matter what header I plug it into. Do you think it could be a bios version?

No flow rate just the idle temperature. That's what you should do with any new cooler. If the idle temp is 80-90°C you have issues. The fan header tuning was so the motherboard doesn't treat the pump like a fan. Better to have a constant pump speef of at least 80%. You can achieve by flattening the curve the top would be 100%. Or setting to DC mode 12.5v would be 100%.

The idle temperature starts low the. As it runs it gets higher. I raised the fan curve for the header I plug it into and nothing. It seems the pump is just not running. Might have gotten a bad one

I will try that. I am waiting for it to cool down so I can boot into bios because when I took the AIO off, I could feel the heat.

Heat is fine but don't ever run the PC without a cooler. Probably not want you meant but just incase lol.

Set your pump (CPU_OPT) to 100% speed in the bios.
Also, make sure you used the correct mounting hardware for AM5 and not the Intel hardware.
Lastly, make sure all the screws are tight.

I double checked both the screws and mounting hardware, both right. I’ll do the bios thing you mentioned
