Used 3080 for $300 or rx 9060 xt for $450 (or others)

I need to upgrade soon from a 1060 and I have a r7 5700x3d. I have a 750 watt psu so power shouldn't be an issue for the 3080. I have spotted some good used 3080s on ebay that don't appear to have been mined on, one of them is LHR so it couldn't have been a big mining card anyway. I'm playing on 1080p and was looking at the 9060 xt 16gb, but I've seen a lot of stuff suggesting the 3080 can have significantly higher performance on some games. Obvious downside of the 3080 is it has no warranty and is much older. I will also consider a 5060 or 5060 ti, either model of vram but it seems like you get crucified instantly if you buy an 8gb card nowadays.
I am planning to Subnautica 2, fh6, and already play some siege and helldivers and stuff.
Lastly, should I be concerned about the higher power draw and associated heat with the 3080? My case is basically all mesh so pretty well ventilated, but is it going to inflate my cpu temps a lot?

You might fit a 4070 aswell check those out too , like around 400 350 range. That should be the best of both worlds imo
I would had gotten the 3080 tbh because 150 for is bit too much for just more efficiency and warranty. But again depends on your preference. I am a person who buys a lot second hand pc part wise.

Looking on ebay a 4070 non super is on average around $180 more than the 3080, so a little more than a 9060 xt. Is it better than a 9060 xt if I'm going to spend around that much?

Check Facebook Marketplace , you are , I once found a 4070 for 350 and a 4070ti for 400-450 or so. Same with 5070ti for 600 (it was legit btw) , you can randomly find some deals there.
Ifk if the 180 more dollars are worth paying considering they have same performance mostly in games so yeah , the 3080 would make more sense

That card costs like twice as much as the ones I'm looking at right now
