It would be pretty high up on my list if I were in the market for a striker pistol.

It’s the same shit as it’s always been more or less but they finally have the ergonomics that other pistol manufacturers had circa 2002

My G19.5 suits me very well so I was skeptical of Gen 6 at first, but now that I've got one, my G19.6 is the most comfortable, natural feeling pistol I own. The changes to the grip really do make a big difference.

To blind the shit out of someone god forbid they enter my home

I love mine, but I don't have experience with the earlier gens.

Seem to be fine to me

They had to inscribe "Gen 6" on that shit because of Covid.
Woodpusherpro@reddit
Gen 6? I thought they stopped at 3? Oh wait, that was the best gen.
Same-Possession1405@reddit
I miss gen 4..

I don’t like any Glocks, so I don’t like Gen 6 Glocks lol but to each their own. Seems like a decent improvement over the Gen 5, but it’s still just a generic Glock.
RokosRevenege@reddit
What hand guns do you like better than glocks? I never liked glocks many many years ago. But the gen 5 is my first. I have a place for all my hand guns and g5 gets a spot.

My wife has an M&P 2.0 and it’s far superior to any Glock in my opinion. I also own an Sig X macro as my EDC and I absolutely love it. Shoots way better than a Glock with better features and just fits me much better. Overall I’m not a fan of Glocks, just too generic and bad grip angle.
SergeiMosin@reddit
Looks like a Glock to me? Idk man, I find Glocks kinda boring. The gen 6 grip texture looks like it feels nice, though they’re a bit late to the game in that, in typical Glock fashion.
Chauncy1911@reddit
I hated Glock. Had to carry a 17 for work. Retired..new job, needed a carry gun. All of my personal guns were way to peetty to stuff in anf out of a Lvl3 holster. Glock 19 gen 3....nos I own 7 Glock 19 gen 3 pistols....will buy a 6. They feel great.

Awesome, fits my hand better than any. The rounded front strap sold me.

Glock fans react to palm swell grips like cavemen to fire
pattybruh@reddit
As a caveman who has been running a completely stock Gen 5 Glock 19 for a few years now, this is hilarious and accurate.
My G19 has zero upgrades, zero modifications, and is not even optic cut. I have thrown probably two thousand rounds through it at this point and the thing still runs absolutely like a charm without a single complaint.
I will admit I am a little envious of that aggressive new factory trigger guard undercut on the Gen 6 because avoiding Glock knuckle without a dremel is a nice luxury. But honestly, hearing that the new flat Gen 6 trigger wall feels a bit mushier out of the box makes me love my crisp, broken-in Gen 5 even more. There is something beautiful about a boringly reliable tool that just works every single time you press the trigger.
Fresh_Pineapple_4877@reddit (OP)
Accurate and reliable can’t go wrong with a Glock
pattybruh@reddit
Exactly. People love to call them generic or boring, but when it comes to a defensive tool, boring is a massive compliment. I will gladly take boring reliability over a flashy design that has finicky feeding issues or requires a break in period any day of the week.
That is a clean looking setup you have there by the way.
Fresh_Pineapple_4877@reddit (OP)
I totally agree, also they don’t go boom in your holster witch is another plus for me, and thank you sir when it comes to reliability Aimpoint and Glock make a great duo.
pattybruh@reddit
You are not wrong. Not having to worry about uncommanded discharges is a pretty massive baseline feature for a carry gun.
And you really cannot beat an AIMPOINT and GLOCK combination. It is not flashy, it is not the trendiest thing on Instagram, but if you need a setup that will literally survive a bomb blast and still crisp a dot right on target when you pull it from the holster, that is the exact duo you want.
Fresh_Pineapple_4877@reddit (OP)
Love Gen 5s hell all Glocks tbh
Fresh_Pineapple_4877@reddit (OP)
Only put about 100 rounds through it today and it shoots way better than my gen 5 imo
OmericanAutlaw@reddit
i may never know here in california 😆 at least not without an up charge
Fresh_Pineapple_4877@reddit (OP)
Hopefully that changes one day
Cryptic1911@reddit
Meh. Still a glock.
