It’s wild to me how that manual in the first picture has hundreds of pictures of ludicrously rare, or even totally unique, prototypes and yet has zero information about them other than the name.

Exactly. It’s mind-boggingly that videos of, for example, the StG-45 Kurz have only now started to surface, when a picture of it had been on that manual for ages. What kind of strings were its creators capable of pulling to get into that many niches??
