Anyone up for a challenge?

6399 S 400 W, Pendleton, IN 46064. I think its doable just watch out at the end of the road where someone put up concrete posts.

That turn is not a challenge. But the google car hasn’t been down there since 2013 so maybe it go worse.
Either way im getting a good head start then ripping the jakes on every cylinder to let everyone know to come outside and watch.
ImJustHereToSearch@reddit
Here in Georgia there’s a customer I go to fairly regularly that is only accessible after turning onto a clearly marked no truck road right in front of a police station.

I can "negotiate" my way out of anything... I read Art of the Deal...
mjkinzer@reddit
From the newer satellite imagery it looks like theres a bunch of decorative rocks and plants where the concrete posts are. My best guess is they got tired of guys not swinging wide enough and smushing all that.
FantasticPainting232@reddit
To be fair, I wouldn't wanna be going down that road in a truck even if it werent prohibited or heavily discouraged.
SkribbyCakes33@reddit
More like the old man got tired after a semi took out what looks to be his red maple that was there on the corner…

"WARNING: NO SEMI TRUCK TRAFFIC UNABLE TO NEGOTIATE TURN AHEAD"
That sign sounds more like a challenge than a restriction. Brother, I didn’t spend the last 11 hours surviving construction zones, four wheelers brake checking me, and truck stop burritos forged in nuclear reactors just to let ‘road geometry defeat me. Civil engineers sat in an office with rulers and CAD software thinking they could mathematically stop a Freightliner powered entirely by caffeine, nicotine, hatred, and momentum. Cute.
"Unable to negotiate turn ahead."
Watch me negotiate. I’m about to conduct peace talks between this trailer and the laws of physics. The DOT wrote regulations. I write history.
At this point the truck and I have become a single organism. The Cascadia yearns for the forbidden curve. The tandems are spiritually prepared. The trailer tires are already accepting their fate. That mailbox on the corner? Casualty of war. Decorative lawn boulder? Strategic obstacle. Power line clearance? Optional side quest.
I’m pulling into this turn with the confidence of a man who has absolutely no backup plan. Four flashers on. Steering wheel turned so far it unlocks secret menu settings from Freightliner HQ. One arm out the window like a ship captain entering a hurricane. Entire town population gathering outside like it’s a solar eclipse.
Old dude in overalls: ‘He ain’t makin that.’
Me, 14 pull ups deep into the maneuver: ‘I didn’t come here to make it. I came here to attempt something deeply irresponsible.’
At some point the truck stops being a vehicle and becomes tectonic movement. Minivans trapped behind me begin aging in real time. A local child points at the trailer offtracking across both lanes and whispers: ‘Mom… is that legal?’
No son. This is art.
The GPS starts recalculating out of pure fear. Qualcomm sends me a wellness check. Somewhere in a dispatch office a safety manager suddenly wakes up in a cold sweat without knowing why. Pilot Flying J rewards account immediately suspended preemptively.
Then comes the final phase of the negotiation: The Full Send Countersteer Sequence.
Wheel hard right. Trailer still going left. Front bumper entering another zip code. One tire gently kisses a lawn. The entire suspension screaming like medieval machinery. But we are COMMITTED now.
At this point there are only two possible outcomes:
I make the turn.
The county redesigns the intersection around the evidence.
Either way, that sign is getting proven wrong.

Bro you definitely wrote this with ai. Why? Can’t make an original joke?
myrustsippinsyrup@reddit
Na i wrote it myself m8
tvieno@reddit
AI write this about the original post:
Probably AI-assisted, or at least heavily influenced by the current “Facebook trucking humor” writing style that AI models reproduce very easily.
A few tells:
The rhythm is extremely consistent. Nearly every paragraph follows the same setup → exaggeration → punchline structure.
It stacks metaphors relentlessly:
“peace talks between this trailer and the laws of physics”
Human writers do this too, but AI tends to produce dense chains of escalating imagery like this without slowing down.
The humor has the modern AI “internet cadence”:
short declarative punchlines
It reads very much like the style generated by prompts such as:
The callbacks are mechanically neat:
negotiation → peace talks → final phase of negotiation
AI is unusually good at maintaining these thematic loops.
That said, it does not read like raw, unedited AI output. It’s too coherent and too specifically grounded in trucking culture:
Those details suggest either:
My guess:

This is definitely AI. Unless you are have a PHD in English with how you used punctuation and capitalization. Ain't no body got time to do that especially truckers.
Freightshaker000@reddit
Government's not gonna tell me what to do.
Nerooooooooooo@reddit
Looks like you’ll get shot if you make that turn
TheRiftsplitter@reddit
Wow what are the chances. I drive through there almost daily
TheRiftsplitter@reddit
My semi and trailer wouldn't make that left turn at the end of that road. That road is also really narrow cars coming the other way would have a hard time sharing the road l.
SkribbyCakes33@reddit
Having a CMV around Pendleton proper generally isn’t the greatest. Everything is restricted it feels like.
TheRiftsplitter@reddit
The whole city is no trucks
SkribbyCakes33@reddit
Socketz11@reddit
You actually gave it a shot? Thats pretty wild. I am more intrigued by how many trucks ran over that guys lawn before he put down all those signs and spite rocks. If I had a corner like that I would just throw down some gravel, less lawn to mow.
TheRiftsplitter@reddit
Ah no I didn't take a truck down there but I deliver to Nestle and Interstate warehouse almost daily which is like a mile away from the road in the picture
The_Gielotine@reddit
Assuming trucks attempt that road with the Nestle plant and cold storage facility by the interstate?
Wasabi-Kungpow@reddit (OP)
Yup. I turned left out of Nestle and of course the no truck sign is right before the bridge over 32 which is to late to turn around. So I said fuck it and found out.
SkribbyCakes33@reddit
By 32 do you mean I-69?
SkribbyCakes33@reddit
Saw it and knew right away it was Indiana. No way you make it without damaging something on your trailer. Take the L, get back to Pendleton Ave and get on I-69. It would not shock me if you went south into Pendleton which is CMV restricted on IN-38.
theboywthagreenscarf@reddit
I was a mover. Just quit this April. I been in way tighter spots. They most likely wouldn’t even approve a shuttle for that since the streets are so wide.
nicerakk@reddit
That's not TTA. Attempted pickup/delivery pay. That requires AUX service.
But I looked it up on Google maps. It looks like residential. You doing household goods?
Wasabi-Kungpow@reddit (OP)
No took the wrong turn and ended up here. Decided to turn left but after looking on maps it doesn't look that bad. Its shorter by a few minutes and the Garmin wanted me to take it as well.
nicerakk@reddit
Blind side and go back the way you cane
Zealousideal_Rope488@reddit
Or just make left turn and back up and make another left turn
corn0099@reddit
My choice, easier and faster to get the f outta there lol
Socketz11@reddit
Fuck it, nab some dollys, cage the brakes and Hook (3) 53's together build a damn train and give that road a good try.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit
I was just in Indiana bruh..road blocks and detours everywhere..also in Lima, Oh..it was a nightmare for me this weekend smh
heroxoot@reddit
If you needed to turn around I'd have took the right then backed across the road to go back the way I came. As long as it's not a busy area it'll be painless and no one has to know.
Great_Indication3882@reddit
I already got safety calling me enough. Ill sit this one out fox lol
MssMoodi@reddit
And get a drone.
MssMoodi@reddit
Lemi get my of road tires. Lol

What do you have in mind
familyedit@reddit
If your a swift driver it's ok to go there
Main_Section_1641@reddit
When something won’t “negotiate” with me I get a bigger stick
Dear sign maker I think you meant “navigate” the turn
Jaster147@reddit
negotiate - to successfully travel along or over
Sometime words have more than one meaning
TacoRedneck@reddit
I will negotiate my tandems over their mailboxes.
Dave_Duna@reddit
"We get trucks in here all the time"
Ornery_End_3495@reddit
I'd probably have to back in on this one.
nekaiser@reddit
You could also cut into that long driveway on the right, blindside out, then leave. The left doesn’t really seem that bad, even for a spread axle 53 flatbed. Just swing wide ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Wasabi-Kungpow@reddit (OP)
I went left and was fine but the right looks doable
yrant88@reddit
Some say those signs are ment to be upheld and followed. Others can’t read or understand signs. As for me? Well……..
